Beautiful place with very friendly staff, and amazing views over Swan Bay. The food has been outstanding each time we have been, and we of course love the Basil's wine selection. We return as it is suitable for us (oldies) as well as the kids and grandkids, who love the open space. Our favorite on the Bellarine.

Well I have had so many people tell me this is a dan place to visit, so, friends were visiting from Mlb with dog so I booked Basils farm. My meal was baked Fennel, entree and Lamb rump for mains I think the lamb and vega were left over from days ago and reheated, it looked terrible and tasted just as bad. I won't be going back soon and definitely won't be taking visitors to the Bellarine. I had to call the wait staff over for water and wine and menu, I know staff are hard to get but they did not seem to be trained very well nor was there a Manager making sure that guests were properly catered for. My husband ordered a Chadoney he got it the second time around just after someone from another table said to staff that one of their orders was short. Very friendly staff great place for dogs but service and food not too good

Dear S7845KNjaneth, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your food at Basils Farm. We wish you had of said something to our staff at the time as they would have been able to rectify this. Our food is cooked fresh and we do not reheat left overs. In terms of service, whilst you visited us during a very busy time, this is not our usual practice and you should have been given a menu when seated or shortly after. As you mention our staff are very friendly and accommodating, but during extremely busy times there can be delays. We apologise for this and hope that you will come back to Basils in the future.

Best winery experience we've had. Ever. Most wineries seem to be "pay for an expensive meal, look at the vines but don't touch, pay for wine tasting, get out." Basil's was the opposite. You can wander around the vegetable garden. Walk amongst the grape vines. Take the kids to the alpacas and sheep. There's even a sandpit for the kids to play in. We got there on time, and the staff moved us to the best table in the place, despite others already being there. Food was great and we ate our fill.

This is an excellent venue for great views, excellent food and ambience. The lunch was superb especially the Smoked Chicken dish as the main. We were seated in the Pavilion which gave a different an interesting dimension to the property. A walk around the vege garden is a must and the photo opportunities are superb. The overall experience was memorable.

My favourite place on the Bellarine Peninsula. Beautiful vineyard and property overlooking Swan Bay. Everything is so well cared for and neat, food is always good, staff are attentive and accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and have visited there many times myself. It deserves recognition in my opinion. I love the fact that I can take my well behaved dogs there and sit outdoors in the lovely garden.
