Let me qualify this review by stating that I have been to other chocolate factories. Specifically, in Junee, NSW and in Kiri Kiri, NZ. While each of these had its unique attractions, Phillip Island has been the best the date. Let me explain why. It is located just past the bridge once you get onto the island on the right... More

The chocolate factory tour is self-guided, so you can take your time to explore the place. There are opportunities to sample and make your own chocolate, which is pretty fun to try out. Kids can have a go at the games to win chocolate balls too.

Very disappointing for the price - displays were cheesy at best and broken or not working at worst!!! We waited for several minutes to be served at the cafe counter and then walked away - staff not busy but seeming to be just 'wandering about'! Seriously not worth the effort!!!!

Great place to learn more about chocolate and eat it along the way. The staff werent exactly too friendly but you spend the whole tour on your own.

The tour was really good and you take it at your own pace. There are quizzes and games as you move through the tour to help with the learning experience. Chocolate was delicious however the service in the cafeteria was to be desired - there was not enough staff to take meal orders and bring out meals - although the... More

Taking your time through the tour is something we recommend to everyone. You get to appreciate and take in all the exhibits, games, activities and displays, just the way we intended. Our staff are often very busy and can sometimes be overwhelmed by large numbers of visitors arriving over a short period. Thank you for letting us know your concerns... More

Asked about the tour and was treated as if we should know how it works. I asked about prices but to see the prices I had to enter the chocolate purchasing area. Once looking around at the types of chocolate, I lost interest in the tour. After my purchases I entered the cafe, no service, no smile, no interaction so... More

It looks lovely, clean and neat. Seemed very popular, especially with a nice curry on a cold day in the cafe. We didn't do the tour - just wanted to try the chocolate and pickup a takeaway for the car ride. I love chocolate, and it was nice and all, but I think my expectations were high and the queue... The tour was very expensive. The chocolate was way overpriced. Staffing was minimal. There wasnt any free samples as said in the brocure. Cafe over priced. Definitely not for a family with small children.

The tour is self-guided, so we don’t control how long people spend inside. There are 10 rooms containing over 50 displays and include over 20 separate interactive activities, 7 of which allow you to win or sample free chocolate. The tour includes a chocolate entry ticket and an informative guide book. Many people elect to spend over an hour in... More

If you want to experience a happy chocolate factory environment look elsewhere... When I visited with family (3 adults and a 10 year old) the staff was borderline rude. They even hide their free chocolate samples under the counter when they see people coming! You have to then ask to sample a specific type of chocolate and they give you... More

All visitors are entitled to a free sample. While we are unable to have self-serve samples available due to health and safety concerns, the shop staff will happily supply you a sample on request. Our staff are often very busy and can sometimes be overwhelmed by large numbers of visitors arriving over a short period. To address these issues we... More

I played many games once I have entered the factory. The games are well designed and kids friendly. I won a wooden ball after I played the bird game, but I do not know the exact name of it since this is my first time visited to the Chocolate Factory 4 days ago and I bought chocolates too! The time... More
