I’m not sure why you’d want to spend time at Natimuk Lake, it has no water and looks a bit run down. There is a caravan park on the banks, oddly enough with a number of vans and tents, but I personally can’t see the attraction! Don’t rush here if you want to do some fishing!

We didn't stay there but we drive to the entrance to the caravan park and had a quick look. There lake is dry and only fills periodically (not every year). Not sure what attractions for staying near this lake with no water. Maybe the birdlife is interesting.

A visit to Natimuk Lake for bird enthusiasts is a must, when there is water in it, of course. Plentiful duck species, including pink eared & shovelers. Spoonbills & swans also. The soaring raptors are spectacular, especially post stubble burn off when the mice are in plague proportions. There is shelter, toilets & picnic tables with Lakeview. Don't try the circular loop if there's rain, dry weather road only.

Although about 5kms from Natimuk this place attracts many people. I've been coming here since 1989 and always enjoy time paddling around on a hot day. You can go fishing here (get a fishing licence please) and you can bring along your floaties for a play. Great for kids. The nearby Natimuk Creek attracts wildlife so make your way there for a nspecial experience. Blue green algae can hit this place and it's then not swimable so please note any signs up that let you know. Big bonus - sunrises and sunsets. Some of my best photos are of this place at these times. Can be spectacular and if nothing else, worth coming just for that.

Brings so much life to any town when their lake has water. Great spot to fish or enjoy water sports. The natimuk creek is a nice spot to see wildlife. Not a reason to visit town but worth a look if heading to the star attraction of my arapiles
