Perfect spot to take the kids, huge playground under shades and plenty of grass to run around. The weir is so interesting, and you can walk across the wall. Fabulous history lesson for all the family

Not easy to find on the back road from Nagambie to Murchison... However on the way you cross the amazing old timber bridge at Kirwins Bridge. Sign posting not obvious, so local knowledge helps. But worth a look if you want to make a short...More

What a spectacular view from the bridge. I wonder how it look and sound like when there are more than one gate open! It's a nice drive and walk to this landmark. We'll definatly go back and take friends there.

My son loved walking over the weir and watching the water go over it was amazing. There is also a park for kids there and it is fantastic to visit and have a bbq or picnic.

The original and the new. Very interesting history. A shame the info boards are so faded but what an achievement. You can walk across the weir. The park was lovely with huge trees their in Autumn glory. Great picnic spot.

What an engineering marvel with the water thundering through the weir. Lovely picnic area with great facilities.

It is a significant weir as it maintains the water in Lake Nagambie and also one of Victoria's significant rivers and it is worth a visit just north of Nagambie

You can walk along the top of the weir across to the other side which is very interesting. There is an information room which could do with an update and I'm not sure if it's always open. Fabulous playground for kids!
