Being from Queensland the concept of snow has always been foreign and as such Mount Baw Baw being reasonably close to our new home in Ballarat proved an opportunity too good to pass up. While we didn't ski and stayed at nearby Neerim South the road up to the ski field was a nice drive and the snow itself was... More

We did a 4.5 hour hike from the top car park. Beautiful scenery & well marked tracks. Be sure to check temp before you go as its around 15c cooler than Melbourne city.

TLDR - Don't even bother booking unless you would like to have your money taken from you and be treated like dirt. This resort has incredibly horrible customers service, horrible grammar and English skills when replying by email, as well as terrible phone skills to top it off. My partner and I booked to go up over the phone and... More

We went to Mount Baw Baw in late August for a day trip and it was a great experience. We were lucky to witness actual snow on the day. Enjoyed the tobogganing areas and the ski areas. I preferred to buy my ski gear before hand but you can also hire the gear from the village. Howling huskies sled ride... More

The first thing I noticed was that they only utilise T bars or pommel lifts to get people up to the top of the runs. These were easier than the ones I usually use. The runs themselves were really different. One side had runs edged by trees while the other side (summit T bar) was a nice and wide open... More

This is my second time visiting Mount Baw Baw. First time during a snow season. Enjoyed the nice drive from Melbourne to the summit. It is smaller compare to other ski places such as Mount Buller. Hi Sarikei Thank you for your recent review of your trip to Baw Baw, it sounds like you enjoyed the smaller, more intimate surroundings of our smaller mountain. Whilst we don't have chair lifts some people prefer the easy of getting on and off our surface lifts however they do take a bit of practise. We will hope to see... More
