We camped at the zoo at New Year. It really was a great experience. I would recommend a nigh stay with all of the animals to anyone. A dear escorted us to our tent on the evening. The animals are so friendly. Feeding the animals early morning prior to the zoo opening was awesome. We ate a picnic in the... More

The Zoo has a bit of a run down appearance about it but the chidren loved feeding the tame deer, kangaroos, emu's and alpaccas by hand. There is not much to see for adults unless you are an overseas visitor.

A homely feel in the wild.. Amazing animals, beautiful scenery and exceptional customer service. You get a chance to spend time with these amazing creatures day and night. Being able to set your tent up right next to the lion cage is an unforgettable experience. It was the ultimate camping experience with deer and kangaroos roaming free for you to... More

Travelling with an overseas visitor on a family visit to Mansfield, we decided that a trip to Mansfield Zoo would "kill two birds with one stone" by entertaining a couple of young kids while giving our visitor the opportunity to experience some native (and not so native) wildlife. Mansfiled Zoo is located a short 15 minute drive out of town... More

Our boys enjoyed the animals that were roaming about and which they could interact with. There were plenty inside enclosures that they could feed and see. They enjoyed the lions and emus in particular.

Had a wonderful day with the grand children. They had a ball and although its not a huge park we had a great day ourselves. The lion feeding is a must.

Visited with my family and loved the fact you interact with the animals and can feed nearly all of them by hand. Except of course the lions but seriously who would want to feed something that sees you as a meal. Animals follow you around the zoo during your visit. It is amazing to be able to experience that after... More

I take visitors here all the time - children and international visitors. We always come away with a sense of uplift and well-being. The animals are all happy and at peace, and the result is a surprisingly therapeutic experience.

Hand fed lots of animals roaming free around the zoo including deer, kangaroos and ducks. The Lion feeding was very impressive.
