Very interesting to see machinery practises from past years. Have seen this in drought timees when you couldwalk to the side, and then after heavy rains when it was actually floating.

Possibly not for everyone, but we found it very interesting. Not much in the way of signage or information. Would be quite muddy after rain. Lovely spot for birds as well

These pieces of equipment are a bit of a sad sight. Sitting beside the road decaying away, they have been grafittied and left to rust. With a bit of maintainance & an information board or two providing some history and background they could be quite...More

Stopped to look at and photograph these heritage gold mining machines several times over the last 20 years. Always worthwhile, and an education for everyone to see how gold was extracted with these large machines. Disappointingky there's often more graffiti and other desecration of the...More

On the way up to the historic gold town of Maldon. This drench and drag line is worth taking a look at on the way.

A fascinating reminder of the scale of mining and a vessel to prompt questions about what happens when an industry is longer viable. This large dredger is slowly blending into the landscape. Stop and listen to the frogs and watch the birds fly over the...More

Don't miss this if you are in the area. This dragline is big. Shame not better roadsigns on road from Bendigo as you c it before you see any tourist signs

We stopped over at this little treasure because of the other reviews placed. What an awesome site the two large pieces of machinery. Similar to other reviews would have been great to find out more about the history.
