Kaniva Puppet Shop is situated in Kaniva on the Western Highway halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide in Victoria's West Wimmera. It offers the visitor the opportunity to take a break whilst travelling to experience puppet demonstrations and a private marionette collection. Children can perform impromptu puppet shows with puppets and theatre provided.

A very different experience

This was something different for us. There are so many puppets in here if you were interested in this art form you would surely find something here. The owner at the time was constructing a permanent structure of a 40,000 piece jigsaw puzzle which was fascinating to hear about.

When you take as many road trips as I do with my wife you are always discovering little gems like this shop. every little town has a surprise in store if you explore and do research. we absolutely adored this shop. great job

A great time at the Kaniva Puppet Shop

The Kaniva Puppet shop is a treasure in the extremely friendly town of Kaniva. I stopped on my return through Kaniva after a road trip to learn there was a Christmas in July workshop next day. Julie ran a very professional and extremely enjoyable workshop. She ensured that we all left with a very beautiful Christmas Wreath.
My eye constantly alighted on a another unique hidden treasure. No only does the the store abound with an amazing range of puppets from all I we the world she also has. Cosy Christmas room with a unique range of for the Christmas collectors such as I.
Thank you Julie for another magical memory from my travels

Unexpected delight in country town

Stop in this small lovely town for a break from driving and came across a few nice shops especially the Puppet shop in the main street. Good service and wonderful range of all sort of puppets, even bought one and I'm in my 60's.
Would come back again.

This shop is a fantastic business with a very wide range of puppets, as well as jigsaw puzzles. A fantastic shop to have a browse through if you're a local or traveling through Kaniva.

An unassuming shop in the main street of Kaniva, this puppet shop has a fabulous range of puppets and marionettes and other items to please anyone. The proprietor, Julie is most welcoming and a great source of information as well as a keen ambassador for Kaniva and the local area. Kaniva and its puppet shop were a real find.

Kaniva is a small but neat and tidy town. Discovered this shop by accident. A little gem. Puppets of every shape and size. Also a huge range of jigsaws. Find a child and explore.
