While the spa was run by a lovely group of ladies, and my four friends all rated their massage quite highly, the overall feel of the place and our experience was a bit strange.
Personally I didn't overly rate my massage, I then had a second treatment of a Pedicure where I was sat in an upright position on my massage table and they proceeded to do my pedi while I still had my face mask on wrapped in a towel... most uncomfortable hour.. plus the pedicure was most definitely not worth the $109 charged... it did not have a massage foot bath, or parrafin wax, or any amazing leg massages and was on par if not lower quality then a cheap mall nail shop.
After our group booking of six people, with pre payment in full including two cheese platters and two bottles of champage, we were stopped on our way out for $8 for two glasses of tea the girls drank while waiting for their treatment.. while the girls cant remember whether they were ever advised of the cost - surely after a $700+ booking chasing us down the driveway for $8 isnt necessary....
Much of the furniture was old and ratty, and the bath robes had definitely seen much better days.
Overall this was not at all what I expected from the website or from an Aveda spa.
Wouldnt recommend to anyone who is used to attending day spas.

I had a most wonderful relaxing and spiritual massage at Argyles. You experience just "being".
The lady attending me sensed that I just wanted to be quiet and soak it in whilst listening to beautiful music.
She was gentle in giving instructions whether verbal or movement of one,s body.
I thoroughly recommend Argyles for a lovely de stressing experience and the building is set in a rustic setting and has olde world charm.
