Flinders Beach
Feb 2020
Visited on Friday 14th February, we were checking out some of the beaches on Mornington Peninsula and this has to be one of the best, well worth stopping to enjoy a swim.

jetty jump!
Jan 2020
nice way to cool off after a morning of driving from Melbourne. the temperature hit around 30degC by the time my family and I reached. family crowd. plenty of people jumping off the pier, but do it at your own risk as this beach isn't lifeguard patrol (at least it wasn't when I was there). was there during low tide, so alot of seaweed and sea slugs (?!) so I ended up not swimming for long. The beach is spacious enough to play your own game of cricket and lay out your towels. Also, I saw lots of boats moored a little further out in sea and it made for a "very summer" look. However the amenities were horrible. It isn't the best beach but it's good enough if you want to drive out for a short beach day with your family.

Good way to start the day

Nice walk in either direction from the pier. Go at low tide so you can go further to the right of the pier. We didn’t swim but there were a few out there.

Great Scenery & Place To Walk
Jan 2019 • Couples
There are two beaches at Flinders, the sheltered one behind West Head and the open one that runs along the southern coastline. The scenery is excellent on any day, sunny, windy or cold but on this occasion it was sunny with a light southerly breeze. There are cliffs, a reef, seen at low tide and some sandy stretches and some areas of grey pebbles.Walk along to top of the cliff and you have the Flinders Golf course with some of the best views around. The coastline is one of the best around and forget the klp and stones on sections of the beach and enjoy the views.

Not very clean and smelly with prevailing winds
Jun 2018 • Family
Walked alon Flinders beach last week and enjoyed the fresh air. Beach was rather dirty as the tide had brought in a lot of seaweed. Very nice picnic ground with ample parking and toilets.

There are better beaches.

Parking is next to the beach. It is a sand and pebble mix beach and at the time of our visit there was alot of seaweed.

Leash Free Dog Beach
Jan 2018
One of the best year round no restrictions leash free dog beaches on the Mornington Peninsula.
Low tide reveals rock pools in which your curious four legged friends can chase whitebait and you can fossick for crabs.

The Best On Western Port Bay
Jan 2018 • Couples
This is a pleasant attractive beach protected from the south westerly winds, not far from the township of flinders with good parking and toilet facilities. The beach is clean sand usually although some sections attract sea weed and it has a great pier. At the back is West Head and the ocean with some great views.

Love this part of the Mornington Peninsular with its long quiet beaches. Surfers and walkers paradise!
