This is probably one of my favourite walks but it is not for the faint of heart. Over a four hour return walk it definitely tests your aerobic capacity but the view is just worth is. The path is quite well made but lots of...More

2.5hrs of steady walking to get up and back and including 10mins rest at top. Lovely mix of walking through scrub and over rocks, many glimpses along spine of Grampians and over town of Dunkeld. No scrambling involved but might get slippery in the wet....More

if you are looking for a good challenging climb, this is the place to be. It's easy to find the path and stick to it, but it can be slippery as there are a lot of bare rock surfaces. Definitely a must do!

The Southern tip on the Grampians. Mt Abrupt is a beautiful sight and can be enjoyed from nearby Dunkeld. If in the area, go and enjoy the wonderful views.

Started this hike early in the morning which was a good choice as i imagine it could get quite hot walking up in the middle of the day. The track was quite rocky and for many bits you were balancing on rocks climbing up! Look...More

Some spectacular hills with shapes that are distinctive. We didn't have time for the longest walks, but even the shorter walks are great, and the views spectacular.

Although this mountain is higher than Mt Sturgeon, the walk is not much more difficult, if at all. The views from the top are terrific. Highly recommended.
