Blazing Saddles is a horse riding school on the Great Ocean Road in Aireys inlet. We provide fun for all the family from pony rides for the little ones to full day adventures for experienced riders. We also offer holiday clinics, lessons, kids parties, pub rides, beach and bush rides from one hour to full day adventures. We are open daily but bookings are essential.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Blazing Sadles.
The staff are lovely and we really helpful through the booking period (we had to postpone originally due to COVID lockdowns) and on the day. The staff are super chilled, which made us feel relaxed about the experience.
My 8 year old went on a walk and trot for an hour and half through the bush with her dad, three other people and two instructors. She LOVED it.
My four year old had a pony ride, with me leading the pony, which I think was a about a 15 minute walk and she also absolutely LOVED IT!!
They also have a fantastic playground which was great to use while we were waiting for the ride to return.
I would highly recommend Blazing Sadles, it really was a wonderful experience and we will be doing it again.

Our experience was absolutely amazing! Riding a horse on the beach is something my friend and I had always wanted to do - and we did it! I'm terrible with names so I forgot our guide's name - but she was wonderful! Such a beautiful experience which she cultivated for us by supporting us, making sure the pace was right, and allowing us to ... wow, I can't believe I nearly said 'take the reins'. Thank you so much for the glorious experience - even if I nearly couldn't get back up on Diesel to leave the beach (my subconscious didn't want to leave). Would highly recommend Blazing Saddles for anyone and everyone who has dreamt of this kind of experience, but are not experienced. From these two mums: you can do this! Special mention to Jack for the thoughtful gift :)

I took my partner on a surprise trip away which included a horse ride at blazing saddles. I booked the Painkallac Dam ride, which I was told would have a lot of time for canter / galloping, which would have been perfect for my partner as she is a very experienced rider. To our surprise, there were two opportunities to canter, both of which were approx 100-150 meters. I also organised for a cheese / champagne platter which upon stopping discovered our guide forgot to pack glasses.
Overall, it was enjoyable, but also disappointing.

Had the most amazing time. My son has anxiety and was a bit stressed but Cara was amazing with him and calmed him down. There was also a young guy who works there as well, who took the time to chat and make my son feel confident by the end of the ride. I can’t thank you guy’s enough. We will be back.

We went riding with our 8 and 11 year old daughters. Caroline who manages Blazing Saddles was so very friendly and welcoming. Our family were totally at ease around the horses and all the instructors were very supportive and ensured that we were all comfortable and safe along the way. We were worried about my 8 year old and how she'd go when the horses trotted. We worried for nothing! After 1.5 hours our youngest was disappointed that the ride had come to an end. Amazing crew of girls who put us all at ease and interacted with us along the way. The horses are magnificent, beautifully groomed and taken care of. We'll be sure to visit Blazing Saddles again. Absolutely amazing!

Did the Pub Ride tour with a friend. I was a beginner, never touched a horse in my life. My friend rode as an experienced rider. Blazing saddles paired us with perfect horses to match our styles. Had a great time riding around the bush lands and learning how to canter. Pub beer tasting was a nice rest stop with lovely views. Keen to do the beach ride tour in March. Thanks again Blazing Saddles team!

This ride literally could not have been any better. It was awesome! I went on the combo ride (beach and bush). Every aspect was excellent. My horse was great - well trained with lovely manners! The guide Sophie was brilliant, such a friendly and happy person. Scenery was spectacular! Plenty of opportunities to canter. You just cannot beat cantering along the beach!
I absolutely recommend this ride. I went because I had some time to kill and I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. Thank you Sophie and the team at Blazing Saddles, I will be back as soon as I can!

it was an amazing experience with this trail ride. the horses were amazingly trained even know my mother received a cheeky appaloosa to ride. it felt like it went for ages but it was only 1 hr to and back on the trail ride. I totally recommend going here if you want to go on a trail ride. the ride also has beautiful views of the water and the Aireys inlet light tower.

I had a great time on the combo beach/bush ride yesterday. Dave (our lead) was a really good leader and read the group well. We were all experienced rides so got to do a good mix of canter/trot and walking. Loved it and will be back soon for sure :)

Always wanted to ride a horse on the beach and this was the best experience. Madi and Tori greeted us and organised our horses, Rusty for my husband, Sky for me and Tori rode Ranger. Tori was both sensitive and experienced enough to the horses, us and what we wanted and were able to manage.

hello, yes the prices range between 30-45$ for adults and children are 20-35$ and the rides are trail and beach
