I have done this walk at least 15 times, easy to drive to and park, walk across the sand (near the kiosk) up the walk way and an easy walk out past the nudie beach to the headland walk which is a loop. There are...More
We caught the ferry from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay and had printed out the Heritage Trail walking notes. The walk starts as you step off the wharf. This was great as it gave you directions but also historic information about the key points along...More

I travelled from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay which is the name of the stop. From there head left along the waterside then up then left again, we came across a beach which we walked past to get to South Head, there is probably an easier way - not signposted, but you should find your way or ask the boat crew, they're pretty good with giving directions. Hornby lighthouse, lightkeepers house, gunpoints, lookouts, birds are the main things there, shouldn't take more than a few hours. I'd recommend putting the toddler in a pram, there is a few steps but otherwise it's relatively easy.
