Our team is passionate about all paddle sports, passionate about being out on the water and living our dream, to take time - enjoy life. Our passion is infectious. So when you're out on one of our tours kayaking into Middle Harbour, on a Freedom Rental kayaking to Balmoral or in our shop buying a kayak, we're here to guide, instruct and inspire you. Sydney Harbour Kayaks has been renting & selling kayaks, teaching kayaking and guiding tours around Middle Harbour from the Spit Bridge since 1991. Our kayak, surf-ski & stand up paddle board rental fleets are some of the best around, we offer a mix of plastic and composite sea kayaks as well as surf-skis. Our rental location is at the Spit Bridge in Mosman and you can paddle throughout all of Middle Harbour. We take great pride in our kayaking tours and aim to offer the best possible experience. Our backyard is the beautiful Middle Harbour and we get no more enjoyment then showing it off to our many visitors. The kayak tours and team-building activities are a lot of fun and offer a wholesome day out on the water. Lessons are our speciality and we teach from beginners through to a Professional level. If you are just learning about kayaking or stand up paddle boarding then you should try our Paddle Safe / Paddle Smart Program, which are FREE kayaking lessons.

Our main paddling area is within Middle Harbour (a beautiful off-shoot of Sydney Harbour) and depending on the conditions of the day, we can explore many amazing places.

We start at 6am to paddle out to see the sunrise over Sydney's Heads.

During our two hours, we could explore out to Grotto Point Light-house, or over to Cobbler's Beach and even into Balmoral. If the day is just right, then we can take a hike up to Middle Head and watch the manly ferries cruise past.

We will stop somewhere lovely for a hot coffee and some fresh fruit.

During our 28 years on Sydney Harbour, we know all the top spots to visit. We can explore many different locations depending on the conditions and we will do it in style by using beautiful Australian made lightweight sea kayaks (made by Mirage Sea Kayaks).

On our paddle, it is more enjoyable that we cruise at a leisurely pace, therefore you will only need a moderate level of fitness.

You will need to be at least an intermediate or experienced kayaker.

We do not recommend this tour for beginner paddlers.

Beginner paddlers should first start with our Middle Harbour Eco Tour
