I went on the Sydney Solstice night time kayak on Thursday, June 17th. The whole experience was great. The team were very professional. From the initial greeting, through the fitting of gear (including the rudder pedals), and the guiding & comentary throughout. The views throughout were spectacular, and the platter & zero % beer are a nice little touch. To top it all off, we had the Darling Harbour fireworks display. Seeing this from on the water was great. I hope that in the future the authorities consider extending this venture as it's agreat advertisment for what the city has to offer. Maybe through the Vivid period in August. Thank you Sydney Harbour Kayaks.

I saw this activity on Facebook as part of the Sydney Solstice Winter Festival and jumped at the opportunity to kayak in Darling Harbour under the lights and fireworks! The staff made it easy to sign up, and communication was wonderful, getting all of our snack preferences, life jacket sizes and paperwork done easily! Even the *cough* older people/less technological folks in our party were looked after, being sorted over the phone personally and professionally! We were a group of 6 - myself (38), husband (44), 16 year old son, aunty (70+), uncle (70+), and one of our besties (40) :) The tour was well run, the staff were informative, friendly and great with the camera capturing memories for us! Their kayaking skills were amazing, keeping us all in line whilst we kicked back and enjoyed our goodies, hehe! To be honest, the only reason the other 5 in my group were quick to agree to this adventcha was because I spent 6 months over the summer having chemo, and April 12 I had a double mastectomy for early breast cancer treatment (This tour was June 12, and I had no trouble paddling only 2 months after surgery, the kayaks glide wonderfully!) So, even my husband and son felt sorry for me and it was a "no questions asked" agreement for what ever I wanted to do for the long weekend. BUT!! All of my group LOVED IT!! They were all so glad to have done it!! Thank you so much to the awesome staff at Sydney Harbour Kayaks for such an awesome tour!! We will be sure to check out your other offerings!!

I really enjoyed the Sydney Solstice night time kayak. It was a beautiful way to see Darling Harbour, the city lights and the light show on the Maritime Museum. Fabulous, informative guides, the canapes were delicious and far more substantial than I had expected. The whole experience was such a treat.

What an amazing experience from start to finish. With zero previous experience we were soon capably paddling around Darling Harbour and surrounds, while learning informative historical facts about the area and ships at the Maritime Museum from our experienced guides. Having a snack in the middle of Darling Harbour was also very enjoyable. I would definitely paddle with Sydney Harbour Kayaks, and hope the ‘moonlight’ experience becomes a regular thing, or at the very least is available for Vivid.
