This was our first visit to Barry Island beach and it certainly won't be the last. The beach was lovely and clean (there were even litter pickers collecting rubbish throughout the day). We hired deck chairs at a very reasonable price. The local shops removed...More

Just visited the beach next to pleasure island on a hot summer day. If you want a relaxing beach time please avoid to go there. Full of noise that we couldn't even hear the sound of the sea. So many screaming kids running around.

Took our Floridan visitors to see one of our beaches for comparison with theirs. A lot colder, windier and dirtier. A bracing stroll out to Friar's point was exhilarating.

Whitmore beach is a wonderful day out and a must see for Gavin and Stacey fanatics! My wife and I spent the day having cappuccinos at Marco's, eating Fish and Chips on the promenade wall (the brazen seagulls will come for you) and relaxing on...More

With buckets and spades in tow the kids love a day at the beach whatever the time of year, as long as it’s dry. Places to sit down and eat to a bag of chips overlooking the sea there’s something for everyone.
