Had a great walk from Barry Island over headland to Jackson Bay. Back for fish & chips. Unfortunately we were impatient & didn't like the queues at the 2 most popular chippes ( Boffy's & O'sheas) so went next door - don't bother, it was awful!! Under cooked, greasy fish & chips that tasted as if the fat was off!!... More

First time to Barry, loved it there. Plenty going on with loads of lovely restaurants to eat in. Will be returning. All dog friendly so my day also enjoyed, parking was easy but a little over priced. I was surprised to see the train station is just a stone throw away to the centre. Next time I may treat the... More

Lovely & Clean Beach. Great Rides, Somthing To Suit All. Nice Selection Of Shops, Restrants And Food Stops. Bad Points: Safety Procedures Could Be Tighter For Some Of The Rides !!!! I Think Its Disgusting Children And Adults Are Charges 20p Per Person In The Rides Part Of The Beach To Use The Toilet.

My sister and I were on a trip down memory lane to Cardiff and just had to include Barry Island. We used to go there on the train for a day out on the beach, or walk across to the lido at Cold Knap - now sadly gone. It was all much as we remembered it and spruced up with... More

This was my 1st visit to the legendary 'Barry Island' and the pleasure park made famous by Gavin & Stacey. Seafront parking was very easy even on a scorching hot day, and very reasonable (£5 all day). The beach was vast and very clean, I was impressed with the facilities available and looked the upmarket look of the wall sculpture... More

There is plenty of amusements to entertain. lots of fun rides too, the rides are a tad on the expensive side; but well worth it.

Not been here in years, since a lad, when collins owned it. Nowhere near as good as it was then. Looks tired and rides are so so, ok, so it's not alton towers but rides were better 30 years ago than they are now. Great for families and an attempt has been made to regenerate the park, praise to current... More

My partner wanted to re-visit having not been there for around 30 years. The only thing that has changed is there is no Butlins campsite. We got a train from Bristol to Cardiff and then the train (or should I say meat wagon as it was SO packed with children and adults standing - only 2 carriages and about 100+... More

lovely little place, lots of arcades, which the kids loved, very clean beach, plenty of cafes. Pleasure beach, rides were ok, bit dated, only downside was the staff couldnt of seemed less interested if they tried. shame, that let it down for me.4 Tokens per big ride, which i thought was quite expensive, £20 for 30 tokens so didn't go far...
