I was really pleased to see some great investement in this park on my latest visit to Barry Island. The paving, once very uneven and covered in debris, has now been properly tarmacked and is smooth to walk on. There is also some new signage which all looks very good, and the arcade is tidy and with a good selection... More

OK so it's local to us hence easy to visit, however it's a wonderful beach to walk the dogs in the winter, and in the summer months we can still access a nice stretch of sandy beach between the Knapp and Barry. The views are never the same with an ever changing sea view. Plenty of refreshments available on the... More

Came for a day-trip while staying in the Brecon Beacons with the kids and the dog. Lovely place to walk the dog, took him on the other quieter beach and he had a fabulous time running to the sea. The kids went on a couple of rides at the fair, but the highlight for me was the fish and chips,... More

Found that Pleasure Park is so much better this year and will attract more day trippers like it use back in the 70's , 80's which will boost the area tourism and word will get about and more and more people will come as they will receive a fantastic welcome from the local community

Came here with friends and played a wide range of sports such as volleybal, football, frisbee and we make a bbq at night. Full of people and kind environment, you can go swimming and eat something there as many small food-shops are located there. Is not easy to arrive from Cardiff by car but I heard you can arrive also... More

Barry Island looked great going by Trip Advisor reviews, I thought it'd be a great place to stop off and relax for a while and let the children play in the sand. Found a parking spot right there near the beach... The beach - there was black silt mixed in with the sand and scum/effluent tide marks washed up on... More

Worrying as raining, leaky roof, and water pouring onto electrics. The carpets were soaked and there were extension sockets lying face down on the soaked carpet. Also loads of poorly fitted carpets and slip mats were about an inch tall and a trip hazard themself. It's a health hazard.
