Porthkerry is a beautiful country park with its own beach. It has large areas for walking, picnics, games etc. There is a large wooden accommodation that you can rent for activities or parties. There is a spectacular viaduct that is still used by trains. There is a small golf course that is well maintained. The beach is pebbles with outstanding... More

Excellent place to do all kinds of training , we use it for trail running and doing circuits as we prefer to do training outdoors so we make good use of the range outdoor areas within the Vale of Glamorgan rather than going to a gym

We walked to this park from the Travelodge. Took about half an hour through countryside but what a lovely surprise. Nice open parkland and then the pebbly beach, all very clean and great for everyone.

Lovely place for walking and having a good time chilling out. there is a cafe there as well, you can play golf. just down from the Golf Course is a pebble beach where you can sit and relax and have a pinic. There are also bar-b-que areas with seats by them if you are early enough, and a viaduct which... More

Visited here in August, lovely park and large. Great cafe which is reasonably priced and nice food. Lovely walks into the woods and down to the pebble beach, huge field for ball games. There is a pitch and putt that looks well tended. Great place for families.

Really big park so although busy there was still plenty of room for football and frisbee. Playground for younger kids

We hold an annual family picnic at this beautiful location. The park is usually busy with families enjoying the surroundings as do we. There is a small fee to park but that's fine as I'm sure the fee goes towards the parks upkeep. Overall the whole place is spotless. We planned on spending the whole day here and arrived around... A huge area of walks and views - trees, grassland, bushes, an impressive railway viaduct, and the sea. As others have mentioned, some of the dog walkers are a pain, especially those who let their dogs rush up and put their paws on you. But at least the other scourge of parks - cyclists - were largely absent. Signage could... More
