A good place for a walk and only fifteen minutes fom the house. Many people tke kids and / or dogs there as there is lots of room for everyone, even at the height of summer. A good cafe near the viaduct for foof, drinks and ice cream etc, to sit outside on the verandah or walk to the sea.

It's got it all - large expanse of meadow land, woods, hills, steps, pitch and put course, cafe, car park, tress to climb, ponds to catch frogs, flowers, squirrels, acorns, picnic tables, kids play area, toilets, quietness, a beach, stream and just yards from the town of Barry.

One of the most beautiful places I've visited. A must for those that haven't been. Woods, walks and beach. Large grassed areas for playing, and of course the rail viaduct.

This is a nice park to visit. Parking can be difficult so try to car share if possible. They sometimes charge for parking as well but it seems a bit random. There's a little cafe type hut to get ice-cream and drinks. The park itself is good, plus there a lot of grassed areas so you can play games, bbq... More

Porthkerry Park or Porthkerry as it is commonly known is a really great attribute to Barry . As children, one is introduced to it at an early age ... either by getting there by car or walking down to it through the wooded roads . One can also go down to Porthkerry by the Gold Stairs which come down over... More

This is a lovely little corner of the Welsh coastline. We regularly visit the pebble beach and children's park which offers an opportunity to have a relaxed afternoon out. The cafe offers good refreshments at reasonable prices. Only downside is parking in the summer can be a nightmare but tell me about a good attraction that doesn't have that issue... More

We live in Barry and we often take our children here, it tends to be quite wet in the winter months but aslong as you wear the right gear it's fine. It's a lovely walk along the beach, through the woods and in the open they have a great wooden park that's not like metal parks. They have a little... More

Nice place to visit with the view of the viaduct and the view of the sea. Plus a chance to have a fun game of pitch and put. Nice for families.

Have visited this place lots with my daughters, they love the play area & love going to the beach. The cafe once was poor, but has improved amazingly & what is on sale has increased. Sadly we never seem to miss the cafe, the last time we we managed to catch it open, the staff were very friendly & engaging.... More
