A contrast both in size and topography to Powis down the road with whom it should not be compared, a pleasant garden of its period, using the river bottom landscape with a pool and grotto to good effect. Interesting relatively unspoilt representation of garden evolution,...More

These gardens are beautifully designed which makes for an interesting stroll around them. Great for artists to paint or photographers. Good tea rooms and small gift shop. Easy access from a main road and lots of parking.

I needed to break my journey and came across these gardens which have been laid out very imaginatively with a folly, statues, wooded area, lake and bird hide by the side of the river. A lovely place to stop and recharge before continuing the drive.

Peaceful garden but don't think we saw it at its best. Very pleasant walk round the lake but the garden itself was definitely past its best. We had just been to Powis Castle and the gardens there are still lovely even in mid September,so we...More

These are lovely gardens with a gorgeous lake and Birdhide. Probably the best times to visit would be when the flowers are in full bloom or in the autumn when the colours would be amazing. The Birdhide overlooks the river Severn and is an incredibly...More
