If you haven't already been to Lake Vyrnwy then may I recommend you do so at your earliest opportunity. Then you have to go again in each season to appreciate its full appeal. There are plenty of eating and drinking establishments to satisfy every taste including picnic areas. So put on your walking shoes And visit soon.

We took the 12 mile bike ride around the Lake in the rain. This did not deter from enjoying the scenery and the gushing waterfalls by the side of the lake. The tower is quite beautiful and looks as if it came out of a fairytale. The Vyrnwy Experience is a good way of finding out about the construction and... More

Visited this lake (reservoir) on a beautiful sunny Autumn day. The trees were stunning, and the reflections in the water. The craft shop had just closed and the nearby café, but there was one open. We did not go there on this occasion. There is a circular road round the lake, with the best views from the RSPB Visitor Centre... More

Beautiful....rivals anywhere in North America or Canada in the autumn! seriously underestimated how long it would take to walk round the entire lake...had been told it was a 5 mile trek....was actually 12.5!! luckily...the hotel was a great refreshment stop and the groundsman took us back to our car...so thank you so much

Wonderful place. Quiet and peaceful. Enough for families to explore and enjoy. Bike rides round the lake, canoe on the lake, visit the RSPB centre and cafe. Stroll around the several walks identified.
