Visited this lake (reservoir) on a beautiful sunny Autumn day. The trees were stunning, and the reflections in the water. The craft shop had just closed and the nearby café, but there was one open. We did not go there on this occasion. There is a circular road round the lake, with the best views from the RSPB Visitor Centre... More

Beautiful....rivals anywhere in North America or Canada in the autumn! seriously underestimated how long it would take to walk round the entire lake...had been told it was a 5 mile trek....was actually 12.5!! luckily...the hotel was a great refreshment stop and the groundsman took us back to our car...so thank you so much

The colours reflect in a sea of colour in the lake. Second walk -pilgramage to Pennant Melangell. We did 4 miles on theBerwyn. Fairly well signed from the... More

Wonderful place. Quiet and peaceful. Enough for families to explore and enjoy. Bike rides round the lake, canoe on the lake, visit the RSPB centre and cafe. Stroll around the several walks identified.

Great afternoon here, lovely views across the lake- interesting sign posts around telling you more about the history. Lovely looking tower, whole atmosphere feels slightly Nordic! And of course loads of wildlife and greenery
