    Great paddle at lake
Great spot for paddle boarding. Quite shallow near the shore and a bit weedy but plenty of room and quiet even on a Bank holiday weekend. Parked near lake so not far to carry board. Toilets very clean. Voluntary box to pay. No car park charges.

    Gorgeous for paddle boarding.
Absolutely beautiful lake. We took our own paddle boards and paid the fee to go on the lake with them. It was so scenic, hardly anyone else on the water. The most gorgeous place that we’ve been on the paddle boards with Mountain views and birds all around. We also ate at the cafe, which was lovely. There were horses by the cars too. A lovely place to spend the afternoon.

    Kayaking
A lovely couple of hours kayaking on the lake. Nice friendly staff, easy launch, standard equipment. There were a couple of motor boats with water skiers on the back. Obviously it would have been nicer if they weren’t there, but they were considerate and didn’t come too close. A lot of weed in the lake - I wouldn’t want to fall in! Beautiful views, lots of waterfowl.

A rare gem of a campsite
We had a fantastic three nights at this family friendly site. The camping fields are very well kept, spacious and quiet. We also found that all the usual campsite facilities were there, with private, well designed shower rooms. Location wise, this site is perfect. It takes only a couple of minutes to walk to the lake, where you can use your own craft for a small fee, or hire one. Lovely location for walking and cycling too. Larger towns are in easy reach, we visited Brecon which was not much more than a 15 minute drive away. We definitely hope to visit again soon.

    Peaceful and full of birds
Our AirB&B was on the village, so after having dinner, we decided to walk to the lake. It was very nice walk, 5-20 min from the village. The place where they store the boats was full with birds, nesting. The lake looked so peaceful and the light of the sunset was painted over the water, so beautiful!

A big old pile of old water, kept in a muddy hole in the ground.
Llangorse Lake is a big old pile of old water, kept in a muddy hole in the ground. It was nice to look at on a sunny day. By far the best thing about it is the watertop roundhouse. I could have sat there for hours. My only criticism of it is that the cross member, keeping the rafters together, should be a single piece in a spiral rather than a collection of concentric circles. Even the duck poo decking was probably authentic. I didn't try to pull the sword out of the stone because I felt that discovering that I was king of the Britons sounds like a faff that would mess up my retirement plans.

Lovely place, great staff, reasonably priced. Kayaked the lake in November, cold but still really nice. Easy place to launch kayak without getting wet.

What a lovely place to paddleboard
We had a lovely day paddleboarding! It was our first time and the lake was very gentle and quiet. Lots of parking available and right by the lake. Theres clean toilets, big enough to change in as well. We will definitely be going back!

Beautiful Lake In The Welsh Countryside
We went to visit the lake as we knew there was a nearby cafe for breakfast. The lake itself was beautiful especially as it was a very warm day. We went on the crannog where we could enjoy the scenery and watch people kayaking whilst seeing the mountains in the backdrop.

Went for a long walk around the lake - but hardly saw any lake! The path took us some distance from the lake, which we just caught glimpses of from time to time.

Myself and my son went to Llangorse lake for some pike fishing, we hired a boat for two days, rhe first day was amazing, beautiful place, very friendly staff and we caught a decent sized Pike, whilst loosing two others, our van broke down meaning we couldn't attend on the 2nd day, so they fully refunded our boat hire and fishing permit so we can attend at a later date, really amazing guys, big thank you to you all!
