Trip planned some days ago. Lucky with the weather as the walk around the lake is very muddy (but we did wear wellingtons this time). Scenery is outstanding.

Difficult to find even with satnav as the turning to the lake is not signposted in English but once you find it it is amazing. Beautiful, tranquil and stunning. Wish I had had longer there. Very peaceful. Onsite toilets were ok too. Loved it.

Here a welsh royal palace of the dark ages was ravaged by Queen Aethelfraed and the ruins were found in the lake in the late nineteenth century. It is very atmospheric. There are different kind of boats to hire to go out on the lake...More
