Nice walking route near Knighton
Jul 2021
Travelling into Wales, stopped off in Knighton to stretch our legs and have a walk around.
Glyndwr's Way highlights the best of the mid-Wales countryside.
Well signposted routes.

Walk away from the crowds
Sep 2019
If you like peaceful this is the walk for you. We completed the whole walk in September and were lucky with the weather. B and b accommodation is a little sparse in some places, but apart from the occasional disappointment it was excellent.

Walking the mid-welsh hills may not seem particularly challenging - they do not reach great heights but there are many of them. Undulating describes this walk through some beautiful scenery - don't underestimate it.

Walking tour
Jul 2019
This was our first walking tour; it was a bit challenging physically at first, but managed after a few days to feel good about the challenge and enjoy everything there was to enjoy about the exercise, the scenery, and finding our way being careful about all the markers for the walk.

Completed every step!

I DID complete the whole of GW, though the tree of us walking at the start reduced to just two by the latter stages. A magnificent way-marked walk throughout, with no sections that underwhelmed, it was as stimulating walking the last day as the first day. I would do it all again right now if I could. Unforgettable memories, lots of photos and a great sense of achievement. I fully intend to do it again some day.

Great walk.

A very well marked route with plenty of scope to add on the miles. Fantastic views and well maintained paths and tracks. Really great for dogs. Parking is cheap too, £4.50 for the whole day.

A nice but challenging tail
Aug 2018 • Family
Did the trail with the family this August. Quite refreshing that it’s very empty and peaceful but expect some challenging climbs. Good B&Bs along the route. Most of the route is well marked other than in a couple of areas. You need to be comfortable walking near cattle and sheep and on stepping into plenty of sheep poo. We met a few friendly farmers who explained to the kids the basics of breeding sheep.

Hard work
Jun 2018 • Friends
Couldn't do the whole walk on account of time and particularly the heat - very hot and physical effort but nevertheless well worth the effort. Very well sign posted and some very beautiful scenery - mixed with open moorland and woods through to some quite steep terrain and not too much roadwork.

Wanted to just lose myself for an hour or two

An absolutely beautiful place to visit ,the river that runs through it twists and turns and
Is quite tranquil to watch .plenty of woodland to walk through as well as open fields
And hills to walk up( if you feel energetic enough.

Walking part of the Glyndower's Way
Sep 2017 • Couples
Well signposted. Some of the most beautiful views of rural Wales to be had on this walk. Well worth the physical effort in order to see parts of Wales not typically seen on road journeys.

Great Scenery
Aug 2017 • Family
Beautiful part of Great Britain, great views and plenty of different terrains we walked up through the woods across open fields and down a hill of ferns. Fresh air and lots of walking.
