We let Jo know ahead of time what we'd be interested in seeing, and she did a great job of putting together the tour. We got to see the beautiful countryside in Wales and Shropshire. Her knowledge of the natural world, especially birds, was wonderful. Our tour included a stone circle and Montgomery Castle. We had a great meal at a place she recommended. We enjoyed all of the tour and her wonderful company!

Thank you for such a lovely review, Carol. I thoroughly enjoyed showing you and Al the wonders of this enchanting region and the rain held off until the end. In the event you return to our area it would be great to show you other amazing spaces with equally incredible history. Kind regards

Having read other reviews I decided to get in touch with TriCounty Tours because I just couldn’t pick between the choices. So I asked for advice and thus started the planning for our mystery tour. I told Jo the sort of things we liked (castles and dams) and she very kindly tailored a trip to encompass everything. What we didn’t expect was that on the day of the tour my husband and I had a personal two on one day out with Jo (and tourbus Eddie). What a treat. We were taken to Clun Castle and Hopton Castle, lovely to see the latter has undergone restoration work. They let the imagination run wild as to what life would have been like. Clun was a vast Castle in its day standing proud above Clun. Hopton by comparison was very much more a grand family home on a smaller scale but nevertheless impressive. From there we went to a place called The Workhouse. An eclectic mix of textiles, artwork and jewellery for sale on an unassuming industrial estate, this little treasure housed a wonderful cafe. A latte and flapjack later and we were back on the road headed for the Elan Valley and the amazing waterways and dams. Dams aren’t something we see everyday and they were magnificent, we even climbed up 3 of them knowing the faithful Eddie and Jo were at the top to collect us again. We visited Garret Ddu, Pen y Garreg, Caban Coch and Claerwen. Each different and amazing in its own right. So glad we got to see them. After a quick stop at St Mary’s church in Pilleth and filled with fresh Welsh air we arrived back at Offa’s Dyke Centre. We so enjoyed Jo’s company, knowledge, lovely banter and terrific choice of places to visit that we may not have discovered if left to our own devices. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with TriCounty Tours if you fancy an adventure in great hands.

Thank you so much for your review and coming out to "play". Every time i take people out and about i learn so much whilst hoping those will gain further insight in to this gorgeous area of the UK. I certainly felt a lot of information was exchanged so thank you so much for choosing to tour with TCT. It was a great day in great company. All the best :)

Had a brilliant weekend sight seeing with Jo and Sue who own and run TriCounty Tours. Their knowledge of the local area is superb and the personal service given is second to none. Visiting The Elan Valley followed by The Llyn Brianne Tour was breathtaking. The views and scenery are beautiful. Will definitely be returning to see more.

How remiss of me not to respond sooner. And thank you, Nathanya. I remember our run around the very low Llyn Brianne like it was yesterday including the car parked on the reservoir bank that must have been submerged for many years. It was a great day out with you :)

Thank you Joan. Forgive my exceedingly slow response. It was good getting back in to the touring saddle after an enforced absence. What great company to show off this beautiful area. Maybe we could show you other areas should you return to the Marche Tyvm :)

I enjoyed a mystery tour in 3 counties - Powys, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire travelling through the Brecon Beacons National Park. First stop was Arthur's Stone between Bredwardine and Dorstone. Secondly, we went to Llanthony Priory where we had a coffee stop and photo time. Our next stop was on the Black Mountain for photos (and wine! 😉 but not the drivers, of course) looking up to Hay Bluff and this is near Lord Hereford's Knob (seriously). Then on to Hay-on-Wye, via Hay Bluff, for lunch and a wander around before our final stop at Erwood Station Gallery. Great day out with lovely people who made me feel very welcome. Thank you to our competent drivers Jo and Suzy.

Thank you Wendy. We had a great time showing off the sites of the area. We always have fun with our tours as, as much as we like to impart information, we learn so much from our lovely clients. Please come back again. This part of the country has so much to offer :)
