Beautiful gallery!
Sep 2021 • Couples
I had visited this lovely gallery back in 2020 (on a day trip from Tenby)before first lockdown and was blown away by the quality and variety of work and vowed to return. We just had a week in St David’s and I made sure I went again - still stunning. The textiles are in a league of their own - incredible workmanship (one hangs in the nearby cathedral). Can not recommend highly enough - I had saved up and bought another beautiful wood carving - this time of a gannet in flight - and a print by Chris Neil.

Pottery and tapestry

The two artists who run this gallery produce high quality art works. There is unique pottery tapestry and painting inspired by the local landscape. Well worth a visit.

The best gallery in St Davids and beyond
Aug 2018 • Couples
For a variety of choice, quality and prices this has to be the best gallery we visited and we visited a fair few in the area! Its a lovely place of lofty ceilings and original architectural features that perfectly compliments the array of high end crafts, furniture and fine art. The proprietors sell their own beautifully made textiles and ceramics, reflecting the wildlife and history of the area and are helpful and friendly and always on hand. Both work in the gallery with a studio to the rear of the shop front, over looking the cathedral and can be seen sewing or making pots while you decide on the perfect piece to take home....and we did! Well worth a visit.

Superb range of local arts and crafts

A very well laid out gallery selling art, furniture and ornaments. From postcards to art works in the £000’s this is a great gallery to come and look at local art or to buy something amazing from local artists. Knowledgeable staff and a comfortable and unpretentious gallery. Very nice

Very interesting gallery to visit.

Of all the galleries in St David's (and we visited most of them) we felt that this was the best. The pottery is superb. We purchased two beautiful mugs. The textiles are also exceptional. I had seen Amanda Wright's work in the cathedral and admired it there so to see her working in the gallery was a real delight. What talent...I was in awe! if I ever am able, I would love to have one of her tapestries. For now I will have to make do with the postcard! This gallery is slightly off the main street but make sure to search it out, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely gallery

Good array of local art, textiles and ceramics, cards and jewellery. Sadly mostly out of my price range, but then you would expect that for the beautiful craftsmanship.

The magic of St. Davids in a gallery like no other
May 2017 • Friends
During our week long stay in St. Davids just a couple of doors away from Goat Street Gallery we happily anticipated visiting. One of the friends we were with knew the gallery from the year before and had whetted our appetites. Goat Street is one of the best galleries I've ever been in and we live in the Triangle Area of North Carolina where there are scores of wonderful galleries, and hundreds of fine artists. Amanda and Daniel Wright, the proprietors are extraordinary artists themselves, and have chosen art for the gallery that resonates with their own work in happy and beautiful ways. The art is all of the highest quality. Inspired and inspiring. And everything is displayed with simplicity and grace. Prices are quite good for such work. Amanda and Daniel are extremely nice and friendly and helpful. We bought one of Amanda's incredible bird embroideries (see her amazing panel in ST Davids Cathedral), and two espresso cups which feature her visual work and Daniel's exemplary ceramic skills. And we bought other small odds and ends too such as note cards, post cards, and some sun-catcher stained glass. We hope to return again, and certainly hope to own more of their work. Our first trip to Wales and Goat Street Gallery is further proof of what a magical place it is.

Walking by had to stop and go back the next day

All the good reviews below say how it is. The quality of everything in this gallery is super - doesn't mean it is everyone's cup of tea - but it is all quality and how could it not be? The owners Amanda and Dan are the talent behind most of what is in the gallery and then this is blended with other well chosen art and craft.
Simply a wonderful place.
