About
Nestled in the gently undulating Preseli Hills of North Pembrokeshire is the tiny hamlet of Rosebush. In which lies the family-run farm of ‘Pant Mawr’. With breathtaking views over the mountains across the farmland of West Wales, towards the far tip of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the Cheese making at Pant Mawr Farm was established in 1985. David Cynthia and Jason now apply their self-taught skills to producing cheese, using milk from local farms they have developed a range of superb cheeses which they sell in the Pant Mawr Farm Shop. {There is no tour of the cheese making process}From cow’s milk they make the mild, creamy Caws Cerwyn, with natural oak smoked and long matured varieties, the Brie-like Caws Preseli and the Mead-washed Drewi Sant. Goats milk is the basis of Caws Y Graig ( also a smoked Variety) and a soft curd cheese. The area round the farm is ideal for walking and touring, and at the farm shop visitors can buy the perfect souvenir of their stay in this lovely part of the world.. Those who can’t get to the farm can browse the website and order by phone or online using a speedy courier delivery service. You can order cheese for every day consumption or special occasions, in any quantity, in bags or bespoke Hampers or platters. We supply all our cheeses to Deli’s, Hotels, Restaurants and small Shops throughout Wales by weekly delivery and further afield by Courier.

great product lovely service

It was a great experience to visit this cheesemaker in Rosebush. The lovely guy that served us was really welcoming; we found out about the cheeses and had a sample of them all. It was difficut to choose, as they were all delicious! We loved the fact that the cheese shop also acted as the local post office. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic quick trip out

A great cheesy experience, really friendly staff and a fantastic tasting session of great local produce. Slightly misleading on the website of it being an experience of the production but was more than worth the journey. Come away with some great cheeses.

The second time we visited and it was as special as the first. Lovely range of cheeses and a warm, knowledgeable welcome. Impossible to choose between all the delicious offerings - so we had them all.

Do you like cheeeese?

A friendly little tasting, and a chat in the shop, while the misty drizzle swirled around outside. It's good news to be able to visit a small producer and make a choice from a nice selection. Thankyou.

We called in advance to make sure the shop was open and we’re told to come on by.

Easy to find and great welcome. Didn’t expect to have a taste test. The cheese is incredible and the owners are clearly passionate about what they do. Came away with enough cheese to see us through the winter.

Also lots of lovely chutneys, jams etc to buy. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Got to taste test
Aug 2020
Called here after giggle searching things to do in and around Tenby. Took us about an hour . Went in a miserable rainy day. Nice lady who gave us a taste of all the cheeses they produced . We ended up spending just under £20 in 2 cheeses, a set of 3 mini mustards, welsh honey and lime marmalade. Only 2 allowed in due to Covid restrictions. We loved it. If visiting also nip to Tafarn Sinc pub it’s a few minutes away. Worth the effort to get here.

Not at all grumpy
Aug 2020 • Family
Visited today having googled what to do in Pembrokeshire on a rainy day. Given we were in the middle of a storm and the COVID pandemic I thought it best to phone ahead to check they were open. Imagine my delight when a man answered and said he was open until 1pm as he had the grandchildren. I knew then this must be the same grumpy man of a previous review. Was he grumpy? Not at all. He was so funny and laughed about the review. Down to the cheese - it was delicious and well worth visiting. It’s not very commercial, but a shed! This, along with the quirky fact that the place doubles up as the Post Office, all adds to the attraction of the place.

Great local businesses- scrumptious cheese
Aug 2019 • Family
Saw a flyer for this place in our holiday cottage so decided to visit on a wet afternoon. Very glad we did . Delightful small business situated on a farm selling 6 varieties of cheese including goats and smoked varieties. Delicious . Owners are very pleasant it looks like they have fun. Christmas hamper ideas sorted as you can order on line and have it delivered. Love the way they are also a post office with a quirky post box. Well worth the visit.
