Lovely ladies and fantastic coffee!
Jan 2014 • Couples
We visited Spirit of Enterprise back in January 2014, but it's only now we have noticed their trip advisor page.
My wife and I had tried numerous places in Pembrokeshire to get a decent cup of coffee including Casa Maria and The Cwtch, despite the hype about these places on tripadvisor we were really disappointed with the coffee and had just about given up until we came in to Spirit of Enterprise.
Upon entering this pleasantly deceptive gem, we instantly received a warm welcome from the two ladies in the shop – If memory serves me right they were Kathy and Angela. I know one of them had work displayed in the shop. Clearly they have great chemistry together as they were just bouncing off each other. They were very warm and had great sense of humours, myself and my wife could of spent hours talking to them. They were even kind enough to tell us of other places to visit in Pembrokeshire and even googled some to show us. This was useful as we couldn't find the tourist information center. Whilst talking to them, we told them about the coffee situation and Angela insisted we try their coffee, even stating that 'Kathy made the best latte's in Pembrokeshire,' Well, how could we resist.
The coffee shop is beautiful, with stunning art work and ceramics surrounding the seating area. There is an extensive range of coffee to choose from, everything from a simple espresso to a macchiato. If you're unsure about a drink, ask them about it or ask for a recommendation. We asked loads of questions and not once did Kathy get frustrated. In the end we settled on a latte and a cappuccino – no chocolate sprinkles as those are frowned upon in the barista world.
After our coffee's were made, Kathy nipped back upstairs to watch the shop and left us to admire our surroundings and appreciate the peace.
We really can't fault the coffee – it is by a mile the best we had on our stay in Pembrokeshire, we're even struggling to find something to match in our own Yorkshire. They don't serve food, but stopping for a coffee alone is worth it. Have a quick coffee and dine somewhere else.
The girls in the shop are amazing and friendly – Art, crafts, great coffee and lovely ladies with megawatt smiles.
So, thank you ladies for the wonderful experience and we hope to see you again soon!
