Have stayed here before in a campervan. However camped this time with my mum for one night in a tent. Got a flat pitch along the back wall. Shower block is very nice- 50p for 5 minutes is usually more than enough and the cold showers out back are good for washing wetsuits. The dish washing facilities are really good... More

We visited some friends over the bank holiday and stayed in a field very high up as they had a mobile home. Fantastic view and very good value for money!

Watch the weather forecast if you're planning to stay here. Always flooding so be prepared. You may need your swimming gear sooner than you think. That said in good weather a lovely place to stay.

Just back from 2week stay at this well run ,clean and friendly site. Basic campsite but its well maintained and facilities are good. Request from 2 teenagers to return next year. Perfect for popping over the road to beach for surfing, bodboarding and kite flying plus any other outdoor activity you can do on this 2mile stretch of beach. As... More

We booked for 6 nights and had electricity at £5 extra per night. Great spot just over Road from beach. We used cold showers behind block for daytime and getting kit clean. 5 minutes hot showers were 50p and long enough for most! Facilities were modern and clean. Site was quiet and everyone was friendly, beach was quiet too so... More

The campsite is fine, good location and facilities are okay. For some reason dozens of locals returning from late nights / early mornings out on the town or early morning workers honk their horns and shout out of their windows at the campers. Such as "wake up!!" beep beep beep. Literally. The camp site it adjacent to the road so... More

Great location next to the beach, you are protected by the shingle bank though. Not expensive, warm welcome the facilities are basic but you don't need anything else. We will be back.

Lovely little site. Very basic in terms of facilities but everything we needed. Toilets and showers clean and well kept. Site staff very friendly and helpful. No protection from sea winds is something to bear in mind but would def use again and would recommend

Maybe it's me being fussy but I wouldn't recommend. Campsite on a hill so you need to be aware of where you pitch the tent. If it rains hard the site is prone to flooding. To be honest the only plus points of this campsite are that The Duke does fab food and Newgale beach is outstanding.
