helpful and fun

We came here on the one really rainy day of our travels, and it was fully booked. However we were given the options of taking home pottery, paints and tools of our choice to do it at home. We did this and spent an enjoyable afternoon decorating. We gave back the pieces for firing and the final outcomes are so cute! The staff are so friendly and it's great that they have the option to do it remotely.

So relaxing
Jul 2021
First day of the holiday and it was raining! The whole family (teens, mum and grandparents) took a trip to Haverfordwest and found this creative haven where we spent 2 hours happily painting our chosen items and drinking coffee. Wonderful start to our holiday.

4 go for lunch after shopping.

With very good views I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch. The town itself is a bit tired but The Creative Cafe is excellent. I had the sausage baguette with a nice cup of tea. You’ll have to park in one of the towns car parks but it’s just a short walk. All for a nice price.

Always a pleasure
Dec 2018 • Couples
I’ve visited The Creative Cafe on and off for years and I’ve recently exposed my wife to its addictive quality. The choice of items to paint/decorate is mind-boggling but alas so are the prices. I’ve bought jewellery and many pottery pieces but have had to schedule my visits around pay day when I feel most ‘rich’! Overall I’d highly recommend for kids, adults and families. Yes, the prices are a little off putting but when you put into perspective the enjoyment you have decorating them (an afternoon activity) the fact the staff then kiln them and the original price of the pieces it all seems quite reasonable. Get over that and you’re set to become an addict!

Great cafe and fun for kids
May 2019 • Family
This cafe is one of our favourite places to go! Great coffee and lunch meals and the kids get to paint an ornament. My kids LOVE it! Only negative thing I could say is before you start they should let you know when the items will be fired and ready for pickup. Can be next day, can be two. And that should be told as some people may only be there for a day. But we WILL be back at some point next year, as we do most years!

A wonderful place to visit
Oct 2018 • Friends
Pros:

- Very friendly and welcoming service

- A vast range of pottery to paint and make your own

- Both relaxing and enjoyable experience

- Didn’t feel rushed to paint (we spent about 4 hours there)

- Drinks available

- Enjoyed by those who wouldn’t consider themselves artistic

Cons:

- Website displays incorrect opening hours

- A limited selection of cakes available when we visited as the other food usually on sale was not being sold due to staff shortages on the day we visited

An enjoyable experience.

We visited here as something to do on a rainy day. Being in Pembrokeshire a lot of activities are outside, and as the day was a total washout, this wasn't really an option. I came across this whilst looking for rainy day activities. The staff were lovely and friendly and we enjoyed the experience. The only thing I would say is that I felt the prices of the pieces were a bit expensive. There is a £5 per person studio fee which covers the cost of the materials used and then the items being put in the kiln. This I thought was reasonable. However, for a skull which was no more than 3 inches tall, it was an extra £12 on top and a coaster was £6. These prices I thought were a bit steep. Despite all that though we did have fun and the overall product looks great.

50 things to do at 50!
Jun 2018 • Couples
I took my husband as part of 50 things to do at 50! We spent a fantastic morning with Donna and her mum chatting and laughing!
My husband and I threw some pots (very loose description 😂) and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Donna was an excellent tutor and host and made our experience fun!
We are going back in a month to paint our masterpieces and can’t wait!!!
Thoroughly recommend for a visit - warm and friendly welcome, good coffee and tea - missed out in cake as watching waist line!!!

Painted pottery
Apr 2018 • Family
Visited here after visiting another location and them not being open as advertised. My daughter wanted to make / paint something. Everything was pre-made ready for painting. My daughter wanted a horse going in but they didn’t have any. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue, so we didn’t have as long as we would have liked.
