The Welsh Quilt Centre opened in Lampeter Town Hall in 2009 to celebrate the Welsh Quilt and to promote a wider understanding of the importance of this regional art form. Here you can enjoy stunning exhibitions of Welsh Quilts in the gallery, attend quilt-related courses or just browse the intriguing Welsh Quilt Centre Gallery Shop. The original cottage shop in Llanybydder also remains open.

Been meaning to visit for ages and finally did - smaller than I expected and would have liked far more patchwork quilts (there was a whole cloth exhibition) but well presented and explained.

The quilts were well displayed, evoking the feel of the time most would have been made. The standard was fantastic, very inspiring. I went as part of a group of 7 quilters, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The two ladies who were running...More

This is a must place to visit for anyone interested in beautiful old Welsh Quilts. Jen Jones has a fantastic eye for detail and presentation for these old Quilts. Also interesting data of old diaries and photographs and newspaper cuttings displayed.
