Great vineyard visit with my daughter to purchase their eclectic collection of wines with their (now sold-out) pinot noir winning awards. Winemaker Robb is passionate and knowledgeable

Great wine and experience
Jul 2021
We were staying locally exploring the Wye Valley and decided to book onto a vineyard and tasting tour at White castle. The farm had just been in the news with their award winning Pinot Noir (understandably sold out), and even though they must be at their busiest ever we were treated to an in depth tour of their lovely vineyard.

A charming place, owned by warm people who clearly care a great deal about both the grapes and the welsh wine scene.

I hope they continue to get the international recognition they deserve. I will be keeping a keen eye out for the next release of Pinot Noir reserve!!

What a wonderful local business

Myself and my husband, along with our two little dogs visited Whitecastle vineyard during our visit to the area. Such a gorgeous setting and a lovely experience. We received a warm Welsh welcome, joined a tour and had the best few hours learning all about the business, history and the varieties grown there.
After which we enjoyed some really top class wines. Had we not had Sunday lunch booked in we would have stayed longer and sampled one of the cheese or meat platters available.
We took home some wine and it really is wonderful. Thank you for the experience and huge good luck wishes for your well deserved and continued success

Lessons in how to live the dream.

We had an excellent tour of the vines at White Castle as part of our birthday celebrations. We were very fortunate to have Robb all to ourselves at the very start of the new season, and were fascinated by the story of his and Nicola's adventures into the joys of owning their own Vineyard. The wine tasting, and cheese and sourdough bread platter were the best way to round off the visit. Greatly looking forward to trying our purchases. We will return!

What a treat o visit a working vineyard in the heart of Wales where we got to meet the founders, tour round, have a really tasty lunch combined with some wine tasting and buy a few bottles of exquisite wine to take home.

Wonderful little vineyard with delicious wine... owned, run & worked by the most hospitable Robb & Nicola, who took time to tell us their story. Wishing them both continued success and all the very best for the future 🍇🍷🥂

Wine tasting & tour
Sep 2020 • Couples
Fabulous couple of hours spent learning not only about the wine, but the personal story and passion behind the business. Probably the warmest, most genuine, personal ‘guided tour’ we have been on, delivered by Rob who is not only incredibly knowledgable but fun, friendly, full of anecdotes and stories and happy to share his knowledge. We spent time wandering through the vines tasting the different types of grape (we were lucky to visit just before harvesting time), followed by a relaxed and informative wine tasting - 4 types of wine to test with Rob guiding us through each one. They were all fantastic. There is absolutely no pushy selling at all, but of course you fall a little bit in love with the place and wanting to take a little bit of the magic away with us, we came away with a box of wine which we will enjoy along with the memories. Highly recommended way to pass a couple of hours

I can’t recommend this place enough.

Wonderful hospitality
A fabulous tour
Genuine passion for vine growing and wine making by a family run business.
Expectations were low for the quality of the wine. But how wrong could I be.
This vineyard is producing the most wonderful wines. Competing with the best in the world and in my mind winning.
Do go and try you will be amazed and probably end up buying crates like we did.
Now definitely on my reorder list.
