Yesterday, as a family of 4 we attended the Menai Bridge Heritage walk with our extremely knowledgeable guide, Joanna. We have been to Anglesey many times before, but knew little of the history of the two bridges which connect the island to mainland Wales. The short walk along the stunning straits, was accompanied by some fascinating information from Joanna, who pitched the talk just right so that our two children, (aged 11 and 14) could keep up. Not being sure what to expect the modest entry price was a welcome surprise Very informative relaxed atmosphere, with video stills and information boards provide a good understanding of the history of the Menai Bridge and crossing point.

Visited Menai Heritage after going on one of their walks last year. Very simple exhibition about the bridges across the Menai Straits but very thorough and informative. The enthusiasm of the heritage group comes through. Worth a visit if you like local history of where you are visiting . …

The bridge is magnificent and well worth a visit for those interested in our industrial heritage. Driving across is free and there is a small parking area on the south side, from where it is possible to walk back across. Great views along the straits, and a big drop to the water! Didn't find the heritage centre.…
