Fantastic selection of sweets, old fashioned and new. Much more fitting for Beaumaris than the newer one in the town

Great choice of sweets, some bringing back lots of happy memories. Sells a range of handcrafted cards and framed pictures. Friendly lady serving us chatting about crafts and sweets.

After reading the reviews I was expecting a traditional sweet shop, instead it was a small shop with no character and a couple of plastic pots of overpriced sweets. Unfortunately I'm spoilt as I live in the Lake District so ive visited lots of traditional sweet shops. This one however was nothing special at all. I feel it has the potential to be a little gem, perhaps start with glass jars and old fashioned weighing scales. It was a let down unfortunately.

What a treasure trove of lovely sweets. Available to buy by the ounce you can go wild and sample a lot. There is a good selelction of sugar free for those who need it. The lady behind the counter is so kind and helped us navigate Beaumaris on a cold and rainy day.
Her daughter has the cafe next door and that too is well worth a visit.

I live in Beaumaris and finally got round to reviewing my favourite sweetie shop. I popped in today for some family favourites, not least to take advantage of the great collection of sugar free sweeties for those who cannot tolerate sugar. I love the row upon row of old fashioned jars and being able to buy just the amount I want. It a gets wrapped in paper rather than being packaged in horrible plastic which will still be here as waste forever. Well worth a visit when in Beaumaris. It is like stepping back in time, which is one of the main attractions of Beaumaris itself. So much better than a chain store. Just found out that my child secretly pops in for a few favourites after school too.

Lovely traditional sweet shop, selling all you could want.

Lady behind the counter is a bit sour though, perhaps she just doesn’t like kids.

We had a little bit of time to grab some lunch while near Beaumaris castle. We found this little sweet shop and cafe on one of the side streets. The waitress was so friendly and adorable! The cook was just on the other side of the wall, so we were able to ask him questions from our table. He made our meals in a timely manner. There was a small bookstore or library in the same space, a selection of teas, and a wonderful sweet shop where I got chocolate covered Brazilian nuts and a salted caramel fudge that was SO GOOD! (it was made by another lady in town). We ordered a burger and fries. It came with a small side of salad greens that I plopped right on my burger. It was very reasonably priced. I think we paid 6 pounds for the burger and fries. I would definitely make an effort to go back if I'm ever in Wales again.
