I was in a t-shirt, in October!!

Went for a lovely long walk on the beach today. It was surprisingly clean with not many people around, apart from a few dog walkers. The sun was out and it was nice day. Spent 3 hours just wandering, and that's after having found free parking near the marina. I'd recommend popping by if you enjoy a ramble, or the beauty of the beach.

Beach Trip

Me and my partner went to Pwllheli Beach as it's a short drive from our holiday home. We parked directly opposite the seafront and found that the parking meters were out of order however there was a website to pay from which solved the problem quickly. It's £3.35 for 6 hours however we only spent an hour there as it was really windy never the less we had a great time with a packed picnic. Overall, a quiet and underrated beach in North Wales.

Stunning and underrated beach
Aug 2021 • Friends
Pwllheli beach is a lovely long quiet beach (even in summer holidays) that has dog friendly sections and is great for getting in the sea as the tide doesn’t go out very far. There’s easy access parking over the road. Caffi Largo does amazing food, drinks, cakes and ice cream nearby. The beach is mostly shingle and pebbles so better suited to walking on with shoes. The pavement along the parade is great for cycling with little ones and is really accessible to walk along and admire the views. You can see lots of sea birds including oyster catchers, herons, and sandpipers if you walk along the beach towards llanbedrog at low tide. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful walk this morning along the beach. Parked at the West end down a little track off the A499. Walked along the coastal path and beach into Pwllheli. Beautiful walk with mountain views ahead. Beach is shingly so best bring shoes / trainers. Pretty deserted - saw 2 other dog walkers and one runner. Just the few of us enjoying the amazing views. Dog is shattered now !

Great beach for a stroll and plenty of roadside parking
Aug 2021 • Family
Visited the beach on the first day of our holiday in North Wales at the beginning of August. Plenty of roadside parking available. Lovely beach for a walk. Very quiet and plenty of space for everyone. Enjoyed a delicious cake and drink outside in the sunshine at Cafe Largo at the end of our walk.

A pleasant surprise of a beach
Jul 2021
We have visited this part of Wales many times but had not spent time at this beach. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was, considering the town isn't that far away. The mixture of pebbles and sand isn't everyone's cup of tea but the beach was clean and plenty of space to enjoy. Sand dunes if you want more privacy. If you manage to park on the residential side, that (currently) is free. The beach side is (currently) £3 for the day.

Nice quiet beach
Jun 2021
Part of the beach is dog friendly so good for us.
Nice to walk along, mostly sand with some areas of small pebbles. Good views across to Abersoch and St. Tudwalls Islands.
Very quiet when we visited, mostly people exercising themselves and/or dogs.
Large area of dunes behind the beach with birds and dune plant life. Signs warn of adders in the dunes so take care with dogs..

Great to walk along from Llanbedrog
May 2021 • Couples
We stayed in Llanbedrog and took the coastal walk to Pwllheli after a storm . Wow the beach was amazing full off a variety off shells , crabs large and small and many more interesting finds all washed up on the beach proving that the sea was in good health with such a variety off species living near by.The sand is good with shale as well . The beach goes on for miles so you have so much space ...
