I discovered this shop on 8th September as I was exploring Church Street for the first time, I bought Ice Bear and The Snow Leopard for my Granddaughter.
She loved them so much that I returned ten days later and bought two more by the same author.
The shop is delightful, appealing window displays and beautifully arranged inside with clearly marked sections. The same charming lady served me both times.

A fantastic independent bookshop. Good selection of new titles, displays are inviting, staff are friendly and offer assistance if needed. Would highly recommend.

I absolutely adore this book shop! It’s in my local town and I visit as often as I can. Be auto full selection of books, and any books not in stock can be ordered for you next day delivery - I highly recommend

I called into the bookshop this week wanting to purchase some children’s books. A two for one offer was advertised on the shelves. I selected two books. Headed for the till. The man ‘working’ behind the till saw me, but continued his chatty telephone call. Absolutely no rush to serve me. When he eventually finished his call, he offered no apology, neither could he manage a ‘hello’. I was pretty cheesed off at this point, so decided to confirm that the books were two for one, even though they were from the shelves displaying the offer.
He said only some of the books on those shelves were on offer. Not entirely sure how I , as the customer was supposed to work out which ones that would be.
His attitude was appalling. I told him I no longer wanted the books. I then left the shop.
I certainly would not recommend this shop. I think the High Street needs all the help it can get. I feel customer service like this would drive people to the internet to shop.

Very happy with the staff here, they got the books that i wanted within a couple of days. Also like the loyalty card they operate.

A lovely bookstore, we have bought many items from here. An even if it wasn't available the staff always made an effort to find an order it for us. Even had a few books signed by the author!
