A lovely area even when wet which it was on our visit last Tuesday 06/10/20 and the walking trails are very good but be aware those using the supposed wheelchair friendly trail as we did with my elderly father-in-law because it certainly is NOT wheelchair friendly and the return is uphill is arduous and exhausting and by the time you return to the visitor centre you will need refreshment and a well earned rest!!!! I ride this on a regular basis and just keep returning. It is probably the best MTB resource in the country. It has an international reputation and we should be proud to have something like this in the UK. It is suitable for all abilities. There is a charge for parking but 4 hours solid MTB will cost about £5. The trails all have to be created and maintained (many miles) so anybody who says it is expensive they need to ask themselves "how will they be maintained if there is no income for the centre?" Go! take the family, wives, partners, your mates, friends and enjoy a unique really well run MTB activity centre.

The facilities here are great. Reasonable car parking, well marked trails whatever your activity, bike wash, toilets and a shop and cafe. The drinks in the cafe are good value, the food less so but is absolutely delicious so that's forgivable. The burgers could do to be served with chips though.
