We walked from Dolgellau to Barmouth, a very lovely and easy walk with beautiful views and so peaceful. We had planned to stop at the George III for a coffee - unfortunately it doesn't open until 11.30. We decided to wait but rather regretted it....More

I decided to do the trail at the spur of the moment - I was going to walk to the pub but carried on walking - this was in February so pack carefully for the weather and don't underestimate the final 2 miles - especially...More

Relatively flat for Wales, a 9 mile round trip, ideal for bikes and walking form Dolgellau to Barmouth, including the quaint toll bridge and the Barmouth Bridge - very scenic, especially when the tide is out.

A beautiful ride from Dolgellau to Barmouth with the lovely pub the George 111 to interfere with your ride strategically placed in right position. Takes a couple of hours with the changing tides of the estuary a addition free display. What fun this trail is.

Very good but long walk from Dolgellau to Barmouth. Took us around 5 hours to finish the trail with enough breaks. Would advise wearing good trainers or walking shoes. Trail is flat and well laid out but best to wear comfortable footwear. Also must carry...More

Excellent flat paths. Lots of information boards and picnic benches. Beautiful estuary and crossing the rustic bridge was a bumpy highlight! Well worth the journey.

We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely estuary cycle trail, watching the sheep and cows relaxing on the sand flats and the various birds making the most of this habitat. Car free, stress free, well signposted with information panels giving you insights into the area. Barmouth is...More

This trail (for walkers and cyclists) is advertised as one of the best, most scenic trails in the country. It is! Following the bed of an ex-railway line, the well defined and maintained path runs along the river from Dolgellau to Fairbourne (though it is...More
