Go Ape no longer exists at Coed y Brenin
Apr 2015 • Business
It was great while it lasted, but Go Ape at Coed Y Brenin was destroyed by wind storms a few years ago. This attraction should be removed from Tripadvisor.

Not just for Bikers and Apes. OAPs will also enjoy a visit.

For those travelling by car in the Dolgellau area, this is a great lunch or tea stop. The modern visitor centre has a wonderful view over the Afon Mawddach valley to Cader Idris..A god place for a stretch of the legs. Good and easily accessible facilities.Interesting selection of light meals pleasantly served. Great stop for families of all ages.

Last time we visited was about 8 years ago when the place was just starting up, and we cycled on the then named red bull route, and my word has the place changed since then. The place and atmosphere there is brilliant. would highly recommend!

Fun Time
Aug 2013 • Family
We visited in August and had a great time. We were the first group of the morning and there were 4/5 families. The staff worked out who may be quicker and let those go first but we all had a good time , no queuing after each other that sometimes happens.
I dropped my camera (unattached that it was at that mo!) and the staff retrieved it for me and took photos for us too!
we had a great time.

I visited this Go Ape site as part of a group of friends and family. The staff were all very enthusiastic and happy to help in all ways with children and adults alike, they also offered encouragement from the forest floor when needed. There were hold ups due to the large number of participants, it was over and hour past our booked time before we got our feet off the forest floor this wasn't a problem we were just keen to get going. From previous visits I think more value for money can be gained from visiting during quieter times. Visiting during holiday time is something I will avoid in future. An over all good experience for the whole of my group.

Excellent location and really suitable for anyone wanting to push their boundaries. If you go wear good shoes and long trousers and also perhaps long sleeve tops - I did get a rope burn. Just go and enjoy

Very easy to get there. Great spot with breath taking views. Fantastic walk in the forest. A lot of people riding bikes. Nice cafe. Little water stream there. Lake too. So much fun. Very romantic too. BBQ can be done responsibly though. Won't is appoint. Highly recommended.

Great fun!

Having recieved a go ape voucher for my birthday we chose to come to Coed-Y-Brenin whilst on hols in Wales. We had an absolute blast swinging, climbing and zipping our way through the forest. It's a more interesting and challenging course than Cannock Chase Go Ape, with longer zip lines and bigger tarzan swings. Excellent location on the hillside with nice surroundings and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who is up for a good challenge and lots of fun.

Fantastic!

We had a brilliant morning swinging through the trees in coed-y-brenin. Staff were really friendly and explained everything before we started to climb up high, walk from tree to tree on crossings, swing on Tarzan swings and then the best bit, coming down on the zip line. Would thoroughly recommend, really good fun.
