A short walk from the car park on the Llanfachreth Road takes you to Llyn Cynwch, where you can either take an easy stroll around it (you may need wellies if it has been wet, or take the longer walk around the Precipice. You can...More
Must admit I was a bit wary of doing a precipice Walk but it’s not as scary as it sounds.
You do most of the climbing up in the car getting to the car park. The walk is circular , over uneven ground with some...More
We have walked this a number of times and would certainly walk it again when in Snowdonia, we take our dogs and they enjoy it too. The walk is a bit up and down and narrow in places but nothing too bad, and the views...More
Precipice Walk is justifiably well known if a little hyperbolically named. The precipice from which it gets is name is really just a very steep slope in all but a couple of very short sections, but then Very Steep Slope Walk doesn’t have quite the...More

The car park is quite easy to find. I have posted the sat nav postcode in my review and it takes you right there. Its not well signposted from the road as I recall. The car park is literally a few yards from the start of the walk and is signposted. As for going off track and getting lost-this is virtually impossible once you get on the actual precipice pass as it is a very narrow track literally on the side of a big hill. There's not really much choice other than to follow it round. It's a great walk and you'll get some fantastic views and its very easy going. Enjoy
