Good for a stroll!
Oct 2021
We had a quick pit stop to stretch our legs on Criccieth Beach. There were plenty of dog walkers due to them being allowed from October until Spring as well as people having a stroll.
Parking was easy due to the time of year and there are loos set back a bit from the beach.
It’s quite pebbly, dotted with wave-breakers. A good beach for a brisk stroll!

Popular beach

Popular beach with dog walkers as we visited in October. There were many people walking along the promenade. The beach at the end we were at was predominantly pebbly. A peaceful setting with picnic tables set back from the beach with public toilets.
Parking along the promenade wall.

Day dreaming

Criccieth beach is beautiful, its clean and doesn't have cheap toy shops or slot machines. It's a natural flat area with mainly pebbles and rock pools, great to pass a couple of hours wandering along the waterline.
There is plenty of parking available and dogs are allowed on the beach.

Stunning Views
Sep 2021
A beautiful place , if not a little quiet for some. But if in own transport would be a beautiful place to use as a base. The little tea rooms in the square is a great place to relax with a cuppa or have something to eat. We didn’t eat there but there was plenty of people there having a meal. It all looked good and the plates were bare when they had finished.

Beautiful views and lovely walk along the promenade. The beach is shingle but easy to walk on. Definitely worth a visit and easy car parking along the promenade.

Natural, unspoilt and dog friendly areas clearly marked and adhered to by most. Views to die for from endless sea views in one direction to mountains in the other. Reasonable parking and spotless toilets

PRETTY PROMENADE
Sep 2021
I took Hubby for a stroll along The Prom yesterday (Tuesday). The weather was a scorcher! The flat Promenade runs alongside the beach. The views are pretty special. There are several benches where you can sit and "people watch".

Great place to visit.

Lovely town with nice shops on the High Street .

The beach is stony near the Promenade wall. However, there is ample soft sand once you move about 30 yards towards the sea. The ‘Dylan’s’ end is better than the ‘Blue China’ end, as there are quite a few rocks visible at low tide at the Blue China end but these rocks are covered by the water at High Tide.

Loads of parking, nice grassy areas, toilets available, and a few places to eat.

And a short walk up the hill to get a Cadwaladers ice cream….
