We highly recommend Dai Phillips of Wales Best Guides. We spent an enjoyable day with Dai on a private tour of southern Wales. Dai picked us up promptly at our hotel in Cardiff and we started our adventure from there. We traveled through the beautiful countryside to the Big Pit National Coal Museum and the iron town of Blaenavon.. This was amazing and filled with so much history of the area. We also traveled on to Brecon Beacon National Park and the St. John Cathedral and Basin Canals. We traveled on country roads with bush on each side of us as high as we could see, visited some gorgeous water falls and were amazed at the beauty of the wind swept hills with all the sheep and hamlets below. Dai is very knowledgeable about the area and we really enjoyed listening to his stories of legend and history. This was definitely a tour we would recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful time touring Wales with Dai Phillips. We certainly hit the highlights, but he also showed us local gems. He was engaging, extremely knowlegeable and very cognicent of his audiance. Thank you for such a lovely time!

I went to Wales for a "Dr. Who" tour that was a gift. Though I love the Dr., I wasn't exactly looking for an 8 hour tour featuring him. That being said, it was the best tour I've ever been on! David Thompson is the type of person that knows a little bit about EVERYTHING! We had great conversation and the 8 hours flew by! We had a private driver, so he was easily able to paint a realistic picture of life in the U.K. and Wales (which is the point of travel, right?). I'd say David was the highlight of our time in Wales!

Phil Coates did an excellent job in the two days we spent with him in October. He kept us comfortable and engaged while showing us the best of Wales. His knowledge of Wales, including its history and its beauty, was so enjoyable. We learned a lot and really enjoyed his company, exploring ancient burial mounds, castles, mountains, and much more. He really cared that we had a good time. Thanks for a great experience Phil!
