As peaks come in Snowdonia comes Moel Siabod is a very accessible achievable summit for all, round trip of about 8km with good routes Walking and scrambling. This said you still need to be prepared as the weather can change rapidly

On the main road, someone has converted a garage into an eating house and general store for walkers, excellent. There is also a gallery.

We tried to follow an online route I had found but within minutes it was unclear whether we were on the right path. It turned out we were wrong and soon following a forest track. There was no signposting at all. We came to two...More

The hike up to Moel Siabod was really fun. There are different ways up to the summit, but they are not (well) marked! It's good to have a map or GPS with you. Nice views if the region and you come by ruins of old...More

Tackled from Capel Curig. Its not an overly steep hike but quiet long - about 6 miles. There is a ridge climb to the summit but we ran out of time and never made it :(

When you're in the middle of nowhere this is a welcome sight. Spacious and accommodating for walkers/climbers.

Weird to review a mountain that wasn't exactly built as a tourist attraction but thought it was worth saying that this is a good climb for kids. Ours (mostly) loved it, especially the scramble up to the summit. Good one to do that isn't risky...More
