We were lucky enough to get a table now that The Bay Hop has reopened, and whilst very different to pre covid-19, it was great to be back.
Great host, and very decent ale.
Will continue to support and recommend, hopefully bringing the eldest in November to celebrate his 18th!

Called in for a drink before going for a meal.
My husband had a pint of one of the ales and I, being a cider fan, had a pint of cider.
We also had complimentary snacks.
We both enjoyed them and had time for another.
The problem here being, the cider was 5.5% so quite strong and on an empty tummy, I was a little wobbly on the way out and needed my dinner !!
I wish there were more places like this to try different drinks.
Do drop in.

We came across this real ale venue before going to a concert at Theatr Colwyn. Hadn't visited Colwyn Bay for a couple of years, so coming across the Bay Hop was a pleasant surprise.

They give discount to CAMRA members and are dog friendly, there is a big water bowl just inside the door - seems like a good excuse to walk the dog!

There were a good choice of real ales and bottles and cans of real ales which could be purchased. Only negative comment was I could see how much they were if you purchased six but no individual prices.

It looks as if they have live music nights occasionally and also a cheese and beer night.

I loved the feel of the place, it didn't feel like a pub, more like a café. There was a comfortable friendly atmosphere, with fellow real ale drinkers. Unfortunately we don't live close enough to just pop in. If I lived in the town or a bus ride away, I as a female would feel comfortable to visit the Bay Hop for a pint on my own, normally I would rarely go into a pub on my own.

I wish the venue continued success.

Tend to call with a few mates after a RGC home game. Beer excellent. Host very friendly. Price for a pint spot on. Brilliant addition for Colwyn Bay.

We had an enjoyable evening at this lovely micro pub. We both appreciate a good pint of ale and we weren't disappointed with the choice of beers on offer at this small but friendly pub with a well stocked bottle shop, which is also dog friendly.

Love to visit this micro brewery when we are in Colwyn Bay. We went for a meal in Wetherspoons last night with my daughter and then before we got the bus home we went for a couple of drinks before going home. Great pub and great atmosphere and well worth a visit

Visited here one evening as heard so much about it. What a lovely little micropub. Fantastic selection of ales all from microbreweries all over the uk and locally. Wonderful bottle beer selection. You don’t see any of these on supermarket shelves! I love my dark ales and had the Six Malt Porter which was stunning. No tv or gaming machines. So nice that people actually have to talk to each other. Owner very pleasant and knowledgeable about his ales and very friendly and chatty barman.

An enjoyable visit to an ever growing band of micro pubs across the country where conversation and quality beers rule and this pub was no different. One not to miss if in the area.
