This tour was one of the highlights of our short trip to Memphis. On our way home from visiting our son and daughter-in-law in St Louis, we decided to stop for 2 days to visit Memphis for the first time. Queen, as she likes to be called, took us on a memorable tour around all the important points of the city, in a safe COVID-aware car caravan. Her technical expertise for coordinating conversation between cars was excellent - there were NO glitches. She knows how to move the caravan through traffic safely. Her historical knowledge of Memphis is deep and thorough, including recent civil rights issues. When she was unable to answer one question for us, she emailed me back the NEXT DAY with an answer. Who does that these days! I highly recommend the tour as a start to a visit to Memphis. We followed up on her suggestions, with visits to the Lorraine Hotel and NPS Civil Rights Museum, Stax Records and a great soul food restaurant. Thank you Queen for a fun experience1

Our tour guide Ms. Jackie deserves a standing ovation for the most entertaining yet informative tour we've ever been on. Ms. Jackie greeted us with open arms and pretty much hugged us with her enthusiasm, creativity, passion and knowledge the entire 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I became so mesmerized by the Memphis afro-american and civil rights history and taking photos in the van, that I actually slid off my seat! We all had a good laugh which helped with digesting the tragedies that have happened in history to innocent people because of racism. It was all the previous excellent reviews that made us want to take this tour and we were not disappointed. We are so happy that we made this choice since we only had one full day to spend in Memphis. We are so glad that Ms. Jackie pointed out The Four Way soul food restaurant where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, B.B. King and Aretha had all eaten at. We went back after the tour and OMG!! The best country fried steak ever!! Thank you Ms. Jackie for giving us a lasting memory. We want to go back!

I decided to come to Memphis for my birthday just to get away for a few days and I booked the African American History Tour of Memphis. I’m so glad that I did because it was awesome. Mrs. Queen is the best! I learned a lot and it was a lot of fun. Mrs. Queen is professional and extremely knowledgeable. It was because of her that this tour was so awesome. The tour is a ride in a van and Mrs. Queen gives you so much history. I highly recommend if you’re visiting Memphis.
