We took the trolly everywhere, lots of locals told us about unique placee to go. The trolley drivers were so helpful if we needed directions. Good maps at stations and on trolley, easy to get around.

We recently rode the trolley from Main street to Beale street to see the Memphis Christmas parade. The children loved the ride, windows were open an the air was crisp. The cars have been restored to their original beauty. Don't get in a hurry, slow...More

We did it a few times from the north to the south and vice versa. The trolley is still original. Beautiful wooden seats and friendly driver. For only $ 1,00 you would enjoy the ride along the mainstreet. It is one of the attractions in...More

Arriving in town on Thanksgiving meant the trolley service was not running and the next day was a restrictive service. We were spotted by a trolley driver who stopped, picked us up, enquired with the office how to get us to our destination, dropped us...More

There is something so relaxing and time-traveller ish about jumping onto the trolley and letting the town pass by. A great way to sightsee and rest your weary feet.

A quick way to get to Beale Street from our hotel. A little creepy at night the farther you got away from Beale Street. Sometimes the wait seemed long.

We alo ate at Blue Fin--but I bought a $25 restaurant.com coupon for $1 before we went, so it was really quite reasonable. I always check that website before we travel--used one at The BBQ Shop, too.

Trip Report - Day Two (3 Replies)
Thursday, May 13: Got up early and walked across the Square to the Blue Plate Cade. Had a delicious breakfast with some of the best biscuits I’ve eaten at a diner/restaurant, and then headed out to catch the Madison Ave. Trolley. Took the trolley to a stop within a block of Sun Records and entered the souvenir shop to get the tour tickets and look around. Took the tour of their museum and the studio where so much magic happened. The guide was very, very good and full of information. Well...More

Disney World Christmas Parade Taping in early December (4 Replies)
I don't think it is any big secret that it is taped in advance.
