We visited the cotton exchange first to learn of its history and then the section explaining the growing of cotton and its uses and scientific improvements. It would have been better to learn about the growing of cotton first before exploring the marketing and history...More

Very nicely done museum. Interestingly presents facts about cotton, its impact on American culture, industry and our history, especially as it concerned Memphis and TN. Good audio/visual interactive exhibits.

Found this interesting as I had spent a lot of time around Clarksdale and the Crossroads and Natchez where cotton was such an integral part of the history. There clearly is a dominant commercial aspect to it and this gave so much history.

This is pretty much an explore on your own museum. $9 for students. Interactive for the kids and check out the ornate elevators.
