Well it's a classic 175 year old cathedral built and still operated by the Dominican friars. The church is beautiful inside and has some great stained glass. Standing for almost 2 centuries and still in service to the community.

What a beautiful church. We stopped on a Saturday to find it locked. We walked by on Sunday and it was open for mass. We asked the security guard if we could take a look a round and he said sure. The stained glass is amazing and are the church organ pipes. Glad we took the time to see the... More

AI always enjoy finding beautiful historic Catholic Churches when travelling that also have a great liturgy, and this one hit the mark. Run by the Dominicans since the 1850's, this downtown Memphis church had a 10 a.m. Mass on New Years day. The Christmas decorations were nicely done, and the organ was great. I highly recommend it to Catholic travelers... More

Not only a beautiful church but an awesome place to attend a service. Warm and inviting and the mass was incredible. The sermon was powerful and moving, loved every minute of it. Stop by and enjoy the beauty of this church and take time to attend a service.

Very beautiful and tranquil church. Grounds are well kept. Peaceful even though close to busy street.

If you enjoy seeing old, traditional churches, St. Peter is one to see. Over one hundred fifty years old, it is lovely with gorgeous stained glass windows.

This is the parish in which I am registered, and I have attended Mass here for the last 20 years. This Church was built in the 1850s and has been beautifully maintained by the Dominican Friars who have charge of this parish. All are welcome.
