The new park and path along the Mississippi River is fabulous! There are beautiful pieces of art along the walkway and lovely areas for picnics or pondering for a spell. The flora is lush. The view exquisite. What a plus for Memphis to continue showcasing its water-front location. Kudos to the city and the designers of the new Tom Lee Park.

We explored Tom Lee Park while in town for Memphis in May. The park itself had beautiful views of the Mississippi but the workout equipment along the shoreline looked a bit outdated and rundown. Took away from the beauty of the surroundings in my opinion.

Was down for the Barbecue fest and had a blast!! The venue was amazing!! So beautiful, plenty of room and the music was fun. I can only imagine how it will be when there are no tents, and just a nice romantic walk. Awesome!!

I'm not from the Memphis area, however my daughter is having her first birthday and I'm very interested in having it at this park. I'm not sure if there is a picnic area or pavilion? Or any grills? If someone could help me out, thanks.

this park is beautiful during the daylight hours, however this is memphis tn., i strongly suggest you DO NOT visit this park alone. the crime rate in this city is way above the national average as is the murder rate. always take several friends with you and remember this does not guarantee you will not be a crime victim. this is my honest opinion as a life long memphian.

Locals and visitors should stop and see a beautiful sunset here. Big open space for walks and games if desired. The lights on the 2 bridges come on after sunset.

We stopped here and went through the visitor's center while we waited for the bridge light show. It is a great place to see the lights with ample parking.

Tom Lee Park, of Riverside Drive and entered near the foot of Beale Street, is one of many parks along the mile-long walk with unobstructed views of the Mississippi River, "Ol' Man River." Currently under new management and renewal, the park and others along the river offer a paved path for walkers/scooters/bikes/strollers/wheelchairs/roller blades/you name it. All along the way are mini parks with things for everyone: basketball courts, playgrounds, benches, nature sites and more for the future. Keep coming downtown to see what's new about the park as it continues to be transformed into something more than anyone can imagine, all while open to everyone.

Park has had several shootings on weekends and that consistently uneasy feeling doesn’t go away. Not sure about returning.

Mason,
We will be visiting Memphis in couple of weeks. Is om Lee Park the same as Mississippi River Park off Bass Pro Dr. on the Google Map? Has it been renamed? We look forward to visiting.
Thanks.
