We are familiar with attending church on a Sunday morning. Interesting to attend a southern gospel church, they participate whole heartedly in the service and it was a pleasure to be there. I thought there would have been a bigger congregation then was there especially with Al Green being their pastor. Would I go again..probably not.

There is such a special feeling to this congregation, that's not experienced elsewhere. Everyone was very welcoming to visitors, but this is a place of worship. Obnoxiously taking non-stop pictures and videos like a tourist, during the service, is RUDE. If you wouldn't behave like that at your own place of worship, don't do it when you are a guest... More

everyone can go and attend, they sing most of the time. it could have been a very nice experience but they had 4 HUGE boxes installed in the small chapel. Without ear plugs you go deaf

I was lucky enough I'm told to see him preach and sing. He still has his voice and boy van he sing. Make time to day trip Memphis on a Sunday and perhaps you'll be as lucky as I to hear His good word through Rev Al.

We were lucky enough to meet Bishop Al Green and to hear him preach and sing was amazing. All of the music was fantastic and the church was full of charismatic people. I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed myself. We were made to feel very welcome.

Since we were staying in the local area we decided to don our Sunday best and visit the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church which was founded by Al Green and is currently presided over by the Reverend A. L. Green. It was a interest experience and the pews were equally full of locals and visitors, the gospel music was out of... More

Whilst I'm respectful of all religions this was a great place to come and listen to an inspiring service with the bonus of great music and a great choir. If more churches shared the same philosophy and had the same foot tapping music I'm sure there'd be more followers!

That Sunday I told to myself "It's gonna be a lovely day", in fact I was lucky and I met the charismatic reverend Al Green! It was an unforgettable experience! I shed tears of joy and emotion when he sang his gospel. Absolutely amazing. Stunning! Thank you Lord for this marvelous soul.
