This ride was very smooth and they served a few snacks. I wanted a hot dogs but the chips and dip serve their purpose. Everything was great. Someone suggested to go at night.

If you pay $10, $9 if you're a senior this will include a pass for the museum. Well worth the trip and very affordable, lots of history and a stroll along the steam boat and the civil war battles is so work it

We had our family fun day here. They rented a room for us to eat and afterwards, we had a chance to enjoy the Riverpark. The children had a good time following the flow of the river. Take some aqua socks because that is rock/concrete and it would be easier on your feet. I would visit again.

It's a very nice museum. Very family friendly-I love the interactive river lay-out that people can walk, follow and play in. The steamboat is impressive.

For those into museum's its a good go. After you can go walk down to the park and walk all over/in the Mississippi river scale model. Many kids splashing away in the water. Was a interesting visit, and a nice day strolling around. Not for everyone, but we thought it was well presented.

Great for families! An educational tour of the muddy Mississippi. There is a guide throughout the tour to provide a narrative of the river from past to present. The first floor is air conditioned with a snack bar for hot dogs, chips, beer, etc. There is a steep walk to board the cruise. Wear comfortable shoes.

Absolutely worth every penny! Not just for the topic but it's super informative and is a HUGE museum! It just kept going and going! a nice respite from the heat outdoors as well. I thought it would be a little 10 minute museum but we were in there for close to 2 hours!

Walk across to Mud Island or take the tram--tram ride plus museum was $10 charge. The scaled model of the lower Mississippi River from Cairo to New Orleans is free and provides interesting information about many locations along this part of the river. Excellent museum. Fun to see kids wading in the "river."

The time spent visiting the museum was worth it. The displays were good and educational! Some of the display's require some major steps up and down.

We rode the monorail because we had young children with us and didn't think they could do another museum. What we saw of the museum i think they would have liked it. The staff was very friendly.
