This is a nice family park. When we were there there was a group of chaperoned elementary kids visiting and they seemed to be having a really good time playing in the water. We didn't visit the museum and the monorail was not running so...More

We really enjoyed this park/museum. The reason for the 4 rating was that the monorail was down and we had to walk across to Mud Island. Enjoyed the history about the Mississippi. Walking the scaled Mississippi River was very enjoyable. Lots of walking but plenty...More

This is also a Memphis must see! I like to take my time visiting places and the River Park is the attraction for that. It is children friendly and don't hesitate to take your shoes off!!

Great way to enjoy your first experience and view of the Mississippi River. Parking nearby, then take a short tram ride across or walk to the visitor center. Nice park grounds and the most amazing 3-D scale model of the entire Mississippi River with flowing water...More

We liked the walk and the view. There were places to sit if one needed to rest. Cold drinks were available.

I have never seen anything quite like the replica of the Mississippi River at Mud Island River Park! We walked to the tram/walking bridge from our hotel, but there was a parking ramp close to the tram/walking bridge. The tram was only $4 a person...More

After a day of seeing other attractions, we visited this park late in the day and didn’t have a lot of time here, but were still glad we got here. Riding the suspended monorail was fun, and exploring the five-block-long representation of the Mighty Mississippi...More

We are traveling to Memphis in March and noticed the Mississippi River Museum and visitor center is closed until April. Is the entire park and monorail closed until April as well or would we still be able to go to the park in the off-season?

I would assume that the actual park would be open...because it is outdoors. But I agree with Jenny W., I would call first. This was the first time I had been since I was little. So I am not familiar with their scheduling. Im... More
