We spent $10 to take the monorail over the river to Mud Island which was a short ride but fun if you have never been on a monorail before. The $10 includes admission to the museum there which seemed to be small at first but then it just kept going and going and going. It includes a history of the... More

Fascinating place and so much history. The museum is large and very interesting. The outside is so cool and kids will love it. Walk up and down the Mississippi as it actually is in this water walk around.

Informative place to learn about how this area was formed. It is near the information center and also the new BassPro store.

For $10, $9 for 60 and over this is a hidden gem! The fee includes a ride on the tram and entrance into the museum; take your time read the exhibits and stroll along the riverboat...just wonderful. The outside is 1/2 mile walk but the kids can take their shoes off and enjoy splashing in the scaled "Mississippi river" Staff... More

This place was pretty cool. A mini version of the Mississippi River is about as interesting as it sounds. If you think it sounds like fun you will have fun, and if not then don't go. You can walk to Mud Island for free, but the tram is worth the price on a hot day. The museum is a little... More

The monorail ride was nice to get over to Mud Island. The mud island river system is about a half mile and at the end of walk you can rent a paddle boat. Do the walk first to avoid the heat of the day and cool off in the museum.

An interesting trip over on the monorail featured in the firm. The museum on rivers has huge potential but is a little dated circa 1970. The scaled garden waterway model of the Mississippi is a great work to see.

Very nice time. My daughter enjoyed walking along the river map and finding cities she's been to. Loved the monorail and museum. Also enjoyed walking the bridge back. Very pretty too

We used the walking bridge to get to Mud Island. It was a nice walk...good view of Mississippi River. The Island itself is a little run down but a nice place to walk and see the replica of the river. Didn't seem to be a big attraction...lot of potential but has seen its better days. Good place to take the... More

Free thing to do in Memphis! Walk across the pedestrian bridge for a great view of Memphis and the Mississippi River. Kids can take their shoes off and play in the Mud Island River Walk (a smaller scale replica of the Mississippi River). Bring sunscreen!
