Just walked in to see the ducks

Beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Even if not staying there you can walk in the lobby to view the architecture and the fountain with the famous Peabody ducks.

Beautiful old original hotel. Lots of history and stories. Especially how the duck ceremony started. Be sure to get there about 1 hr. before it starts. It happens as fast as a duck can waddle.

Like you have walked thru the looking glass to a time of elegance! It gets busy for happy hour/duck parade...service can be a little slow.

Get there at least 30 minutes early because even on weekdays, people line up to watch these ducks on parade. The duck master is a very pleasant man with great pride in his job. He goes through an explanation of the duties and the history of the hotel and the duck parade tradition. It seems silly, but it's a must-see... More

We didn't stay here but went into the lobby and shops. What a beautiful hotel. So classic and opulent. Beautiful architecture and be sure and ask about the ducks!

I'd known about the Peabody for many years and always wanted to try it. We did on this last trip and could not have been happier. From the moment we pulled in and were greeted by the valet staff, every employee was outstanding! Beautiful, clean, large room, comfy bed. Excellent bar downstairs to see the marching ducks tradition. Great location... More

A historic hotel with a lobby reminiscent of the 50's. Wonderful staff, very attentive and of course the famed ducks that are treated like royalty. Rooms are OK but I would recommend the larger suites.

I went to The Peabody to see the famous Peabody Ducks. It was a grand affair. The staff made everyone feel welcome and there was standing room only even on the balcony level. Everyone waited patiently for the majestic little ducks to make their entrance. They marched in and went to the beautiful fountain located in the main lobby. Wait-staff... More

To be totally fair, we did NOT stay here, but we wandered in two different afternoons and sat in the beautiful lobby bar and enjoyed cocktails. The wait staff were extremely attentive and provided excellent service. There was a pianist who serenaded us as we visited and we felt very comfortable just being guests of the lobby. I saw dogs... The duck parade is something else. Well worth it...just get there early and grab a drink at the bar in the atrium. By early I mean at least an hour or more......hey its a bar, you can fill in the time.
